Hi: Yesterday I learned that I get banded on April 6th! I am so excited that I couldn't sleep last night - Just wanted to know how you are doing? Any words of encouragement and support for me? Could you mentor me through this time? I think I need some support from a fellow bander....:laugh:

Just joined in today, 12/27. I have just begun my journey I have had all pre-testing procedures done, including psychologist and nutritionist evaluations. Just waiting for insurance approval. However, the endoscopy showed that I have a duodenal ulcer and gastritis. My GI doctor said that should not cause any problem with going ahead with my lapband surgery - I hope that is the case. I have Blue Shield PPO and they have assured me that they do cover at 100% for my co-morbidity reasons. I would love to hear from those of you who have just had their banding and from those of you who have had their banding a while ago. I would like to get feedback on all aspects - please don't be shy - I would like you to be completely honest with me. Happy Holidays to you all and thank you.:hurray:
