  2. Happy 47th Birthday aj700!

  3. Hey. I'm so sorry, this is the first time I've been on here in over a month. Do you still have these questions? If so, I'll be glad to answer them.

  4. Betsy:

    We will not fail.

We have failed in the past because we were not ready then. We are ready now.

We will change our thinking, our self destructive behavior and be healthy people.

We won't worry about what our weight will be a year from now. We both have 100 lbs to loose but it will be one pound at a time. We will celebrate every pound and remain on track. If we trip we will seek out support and have others pull us up.

We are gonna do this, girl!

I'm thinking of you and sending you great vibes. Keep me posted.

    Allison

  5. aj700,

Thanks for responding to me about your Lapband. I went to my first seminar July 29. It has taken this long to get everything in order with all the test that have to be done and waiting on insurance. It has been a long process. I am so excited about Dr. Newman doing my surgery. He and everyone involved has been so nice and helpful. It has been great working with them. I'm getting nervous about my surgery. I just dont want to fail at this like I have in the past. I have about 100 lbs to lose, they say not to expect that amount in one year - maybe two years. I will let you know how things go with my surgery.

    Thanks, Betsy

  6. Hey Mauriah:

I hope you don't mind the questions, I am also looking at Matt Martin & CCS and want to ask more in depth questions about your experience there.

How are you doing so far? Are you happy with the service/support at CCS? Would you choose them again? How was your hospital experience?

I went to the seminar at Wesley Long on Dec 8 and have been reading everything on this board ever since. I think success has a lot to do with who your surgeon is and how is office staff treats you and I'm hoping to get input.

I appreciate any help you are willing to give me.

    AJ

Betsy: I am really looking forward to all of your posts. I, too, am thinking of having surgery at WL in Greensboro as I work there. I've only been to the meeting that Dr. Martin from CCS did a couple of weeks ago. As a WL employee, I have to wait to see if our new insurance cover this. Please know that there are folks out there waiting to hear about your experiences both with the band, but also with the team that does your surgery. Best wishes. AJ
