sorry folks, been off site for awhile! I am finalizing the hurdles thru my insurance company. 2 more months of weight monitoring and a cardiology check for the ticker. For the most part people are supportive but there are people (who are predispose thin) tell me to my face that I am weak and that lap surgery is an excuse for people to go the easy way out. I look at them in disbelief and realize that when I lose the weight; they lose an individual that they can make fun of or ridicule behind my back. I feel sorry for them now but all my life I wanted their approval. Go figure!!lol

You are chugging along! I hope you love the band as much as I do. I know it' "just" a tool, but it is a great one!

Hello Wayno38: My surgeon is Dr. Kim at Alta Bates hospital in Oakland, California. She is a fantastic surgeon. Very young and hip. She listens to my needs and accomodates my requests. The only down side is that she is located 85 miles from my home.
So do you live in L.I. NY or is that where you are having surgery? I thought it was cold here in Cali, but I can see I am better off here on the West Coast. :-)

Hello Restless,
Dotting my I's and crossing my T's for this Lap Band Procedure. So far I have seen my cardiologist. pulmanologist, psychologist, and nutritionist. And that is the tip of the iceberg of my quest. The quest continues!!!
