Girl, You are so right!!!!!!!!!!!! I just had my last fried food and mac and cheese. This is going to be so hard. We both maybe in the headlines for something if we don't get some help from these guys. I am starting my liquid diet tomorrow so I can shrink my liver and what ever else needs to do the shrinking thing. I am also trying to make a list of things to have on hand for surgery and after surgery.

Good luck to all of you who are getting ready for surgery this week. Please keep your fingers crossed and say a prayer that I get my date on Monday.

Yes, I have and they have not called me. I did get an email finally. But still don't have a date. Maybwe tomorrow.

Don't you just wont to sit on that lady for being like that on the plane. I am so mad because my doctor's office insurance person will not return my call so that I can get setup for my surgery. We are leaving tomorrow for Hilton Head and I would like to know what to plan to take to eat or if I need to plan on eating the preop while we are gone so that I am ready when we get back.

For all the people that are getting banded soon!!!!! Good Luck!!!1 Make ice cubes using a Protein drink. If drink has 20 grams of protein and tray make 10 cubes, then each ice cube has 2 grams of protein. banana shake Crush 3 protein ice cubes in blender. Add 6 oz. of low fat milk. Add 1/2 ripe banana. Add high Protein powder and blend. :thumbup:Cinnamon smoothie Crush 3 protein ice cubes in blender. Add 6 oz. of low fat milk abd 1/4 tsp. cinnamon. Add high protein powder and blend. Ice Cream Shake Crush 3 protein ice cubes in blender. Add 6 oz of low fat milk and 1/2 cup fat free sugar free ice cream or frozen yogurt. Add protein powder and blend

Do you have a Sam's Warehouse close by? If so they have some are good.

My doctor suggested Biotin 5,000mcg a day. I helps with hair loss and nails. I had to start taking it before my surgery. Hope this helps.

It is a great feeling to get the Approval. I was like you so excited. I went to my doctor on the Dec 22nd to do the H-pylori repeated after being positive on the first one. It was negative this time. The insurance person told me they would send it this week. I called insurance just to check on another claim and the girl told me that I had already been approved. What great news.

We started the journey about the same time. I am also 45. I live close to Charlotte, NC. I love my Magic Bullet. How long did you have to do liquid before your surgery? We are going to Hilton Head on Wednesday I hope I can wait until we get back to officially start the preop part.

I just got my insurance approval from BCBS. I am sooooo excited. I must be crazy about wanting to start the preop diet. For you January Bandsters, if you have not tried the Magic Bullet (Small Blender) you have to try it. It is so great I can pack it in a small bag with my protein powder and fruits and milk and go. If you have problems with the vanilla protein powder try mixing pineapple juice or cherry, strawberrys with the milk and powder it is so good. That way you can make your on flavor of choice.

Count me in too. I have all test done waiting on insurance and date. I am hoping for January. I am so excited about this. I am planning on starting the diet early to get some Christmas pounds off. :hurray:
