Thanks everyone for the words of encouragement. I seem to have hit a plateau and that is making the emotional eating demons return.

I am so ready for restriction too. I am glad I'm not alone in this journey. I go for my 3rd fill this week. I get full fast but it doesn't last so hopefully we are getting close.

My program fee was $1000. I filed it on my insurance and part was reimbursed and part was applied to my coinsurance.

You're not behind. I'm down 24 - 25 pounds and I still haven't had my first fill. I'm scheduled to go on 02/16 for my fill. - Val

@ Tina I debated the program fee. To me it was worth it. It included my nut classes, my surgeon appointments, 3 fills, 6 month gym membership and 5 personal training sessions. I would have paid more out of pocket for all of this because the center is out of network.

My program fee was $1000. I was able to file it on my insurance and the payment went towards my coinsurance. I will be reimbursed a small portion of the fee. - Val

Kyra- It depends on your insurance requirements. Mine didn't require PCP referral. Good Luck! -Val

I'm glad you asked this question. I was banded on 12/15/09. I feel like something is "rolling" (for lack of a better description) when I bend over I was wondering if what I am feeling is normal. - Val

Erykah - I started the process a few years ago. My husband was totally against it. He felt that if I would just walk or exercise I could do it. I knew that it would take more than that. I decided not to do it at that time. We had a health fair at my job and a there was a weight loss center there. I just passed up the table. One day one of the ladies I work with mentioned that she had gotten information from them and had attended the seminar. I decided to give it try again. I attended the seminar (with my DH after I tricked him into going.) I prayed about it and after I kept receiving green lights I knew it was meant to be. I was banded on 12/15/09. I'm still having a few issues but so far I haven't regretted the decision. - Val

You will have to have someone drive you home. My dr's instructions were that I needed someone to stay with me for 24 hours post op. - Val

I can totally relate. I was banded on 12/15. Today I did cry. I just wanted a taste of turkey but my DH wouldn't let me. You're not alone. - Val

LOL! I was walking around holding my stomach. I thought it was strange because I never read about anyone else doing the same thing. I'm relieved to know that I am not the only person who had this problem. - Val

If your Aetna policy has coverage visit the Aetna website for Clinical Policy Bulletins. I think the obesity surgery is either 150 or 157. It will show you Aetna requirements. - Val

I'm sorry your boyfriend is giving you a hard time. I'm glad you do have the support that you need.

I'm so glad I found this thread today. I'm 4 days post op and I am wondering what was I thinking. I was crying because I couldn't turn on the Wii to weigh. (However, I have lost 7 lbs since surgery so that made me feel a little better.) - Val

I got like that especially the night before surgery. I just went to bed.

Terri - I know exactly how you feel. It does get better. Just try to walk as much as possible. - Val
