Liquids will be the easiest for me. I started with the Protein shakes prior to my pre-op diet. Just say that you're on a new diet. When I get to my mushies stage I will just continue with the protein shakes plus yogurt while at work. - Val

I feel your pain. I just completed day 2. I have been drinking my last shake and soup and going to bed to avoid killing my family for food. :thumbup: I wish I could make it 30 minutes between trips to the restroom. It feels like every 5 minutes for me. I haven't gotten on the scale so I don't know how much if any weight I have lost.

I'm on the Atkins shakes. I hate them but I figure I have 1 week to go so I will tolerate them.

Other than my husband, kids and BFF , I told several people at work that I am having WLS but only two people know the actual date. So far I have only had positive reactions. I've told one brother and my sister. I'm not telling my mom.

I am very nervous about the anesthesia. I had a bad experience once.

I read somewhere that if you freeze your water bottles that would help with sipping.

My BMI was 41 when I began the process. I completed the 3 month program and was approved. I have no co-morbidities. I was concerned about the exercise requirement but I was worried for nothing. - Valerie

I got impatient and emailed Aetna and they never received my information. I emailed my center and they refaxed the info today and she later emailed me that I had been approved. :thumbup:

Here's an update on my situation. I contacted Aetna to see if they had received my information. They hadn't so I emailed my bariatric center and told them. The insurance specialist called her contact and apparently the fax did not go through. (Even though she had a confirmation.) It was refaxed and I was approved including suggested surgery date of 12/01/09. I am unable to take off from work on that date so I have to coordinate with my work schedule and my DH's work schedule. I am so excited. :thumbup:
