whats so good about the sleeve...its not really popular down here in dfw,tx.......i know that people up north are doing it..b/c my fiance's family live in ohio...and i have heard it mentioned out there quite often.....is the sleeve better then the band?

ok...so im not really all the way understanding...ur situation...so u only have lap band due to a hernia???? so did they just placed it in u without schooling u on it...or asking u if u wanted that particular procedure.....???

hey alys.....like u i have been overweight all my life..pretty much...havent seen a size 14 since like the 5th grade...but anways im still in process of my insurance requirements hopefully i can be banded end of may...so please keep me posted on ur pre op, post op, and whatever else experiences u have during this time....i would greatly appreciate it!!! -
the insurance thing is ok right now, but i havent got any bad news....lol..i still have a doc visit end of this mnth and then the final one end of april. after those are finished, thats when i can submit for approval. as far as my "diet" i have to admit i have been bad for the past month....but b/c of that bad eating making me not feel good physically and mentally i have shook back in the healthy eating....less snacking mode....oh and exercising.....not doing it which is another shame on me! my bmi is right at 40 so im also trying to be careful to not get under that.....but anyways dear u keep us posted on ur success and ur tips....!! have a good night!

Anyone switch jobs during aetna pos choice II requirments??? need help!!

Hey there...well here is the situation...i am currently employed with a company where i obtain my aetna pos II, and im currently in the process of the 90 day prep....the job that im switching to is another big bank also....and they do have aetna choice pos II also....but im worried if aetna with the new company will make me do the doc visits all over again...my start date is 3/23 with the new job and i have one of my monthly visits on 3/27...luckily my insurance starts day one with the new job, but im just wondering if anyone has experienced this and if any of yall had problems...i called my case mgr at lap band solutions and she sd they usually just let my stuff roll over...but i wanted to see if any one has experienced anything like this....thanks! -

thanks maggifer and laurencia for the replies....i just wondered how yall were doing.....i know exercise will really speed it up..but u know ...i see and hear of so many people loosing weight steadily without lifting a finger...... -
im going to definitely take u up on that offer for the support....b/c i have never had surgery....or never have been cut into nor sliced...lol so i think thats my main worry.....i pray to god my insurance approves me but again thanks for ur support and i wish u more success in the present and future!

u havent told ur partner....??? wow how do u plan on hiding that....? my fiance was the first to know....he didnt want me to do it at first...but hge knows this surgery will ultimately make me happier.....

ok i havent had the surgery yet, but you scare me with "ouch" comment on this picture....ur belly looks bruised...has it not healed....??? im just worried and paranoid for when i have the surgery... -

Hi everyone, i have my very first consultation with him on 12/31/08 and i was wondering exactly about how much he charges, my insurance will pay about 90% they said, and another thing i was wondering was if Dr. Marsden requires the 6 month diet or the 3 diet, or less than that?? please let me know!!! 23 years old and wanting to loose 80lbs, currently a size 20 at 5'6 in height 245lbs, aiming for a size 12 as my smallest.

Hey all im 23, well not until tomorrow, i have not gotten banded yet, I live in arlington, and have my first appt on 12/31, luckily i called aetna and they said my insurance will cover 90% of costs, but im looking to loose 85lbs at the most...im currently at 245 dreaming to be 165, and praying for the day i can fit a size 16 instead of a 20!!! please ladies i would love to become more familiar with everything....hope to hear from u!!
