Congratulations on getting banded, and your fabulous weightloss so far.. Sounds like you are doing fantastic. I found that the more pillows I surrounded myself with, the more comfortable I was. You should start feeling a little more alert and comfortable over the next week or so. The bruising sounds normal, you may also find that, that same incision is also the more tender of all. Hi there, congratulations on having just been banded.. Right now, you may have thoughts like.. What have a freakin done?? Dont stress, this will be replaced with more positive thoughts as soon as you are feeling better.. It is only normal to have some kind of discomfort after only 2 weeks.. If by 6 weeks, you are still not feeling right, perhaps it would be a good idea to see your doctor. Also, it is normal to start having an apetite, it is a good sign that the initial swelling of the band site has gone down. It may even take more than your first fill to feel restriction.. Brisbane Australia Surgeon costs

Hi there, I was banded by Dr Blair Bowden, at the Wesley Private Hospital in Brisbane... There are so many outlays of money, but it was a total of around $19,000.. but the hospital refunds about $3000, and medicare give back about $450. The price is a total between the dietitian, phsycologist, the surgeon, anesthesist, the actual band and the hospital. Dr Bowden, also does one public band surgery at the Royal Brisbane, per month, by doing it this way, you will save about $6000- $7000, but you need to book in well in advance to secure your date. My sister is doing this. I know that Dr Bowden is one of the more expensive sugeons in brisbane, but I cant recommend him highly enough. He was worth every cent.. Something similar happened to me.. I have a 4 cc band and thought I had 3.3cc in it, but also thought that I could eat too much.. So finally after a small weight gain in a fortnight, I got the doc to check my millage, and it was empty.. so she used a thicker gel like sollution to fill me this time, and it seems to have worked.. Sometimes there can be a tiny leak that can be repaired by the thicker gel fill... Perhaps ask your doc about it.. Good Luck.. xx Nene -
