hi all, i wanted to give an update. i saw my surgeon last week and had my first fill, plus my family doctor as well. i'm down 21 lbs - i have to say i thought it would come off faster but it is coming off. i was on several medications for several years. i took 1 pill once a day for type 2 diabetes, 1 pill twice a day for type 2 diabetes, 2 pills once a day for high blood pressure and 1 for cholesterol. i see my fam doc every 3 months along with having blood work done. he took me off my 2 a day type 2 diabetes med, off 1 of the blood pressure med and changed my cholesterol med to a lower dosage. when i go back in November i am hoping to be taken off of all meds. i'm sooooo happy i had this surgery my goal was to get off the meds and of course to lose the weight . good luck to all!

i had my first appointment with my dr today. i am down 16 lbs since i was banded 4/7. The dr feels i'm doing great and did not do a fill today. i go see him again in July and he will decide then if i need the first fill then. i'm so very excited - i haven't weighed on fridays yet but now i can set my scale to match the dr's office and will begin the weekly weigh ins. Test test test

I was banded April 7th and will see my surgeon May 22nd. I'm anxiously awaiting because i don't have the "full feeling" very long anymore. I guess the healing is taking place and the swelling going down. I don't have the panicy hungry feeling but i do worry about not feeling full & and the ability to fill my bottomless pit of a stomach!

i haven't seen my surgeon yet (5/22) but i did see my family dr last week. i was banded 4/7 - i've lost 6 lbs and my cholesterol, blood pressure, A1C were all down into the good numbers. he is hoping to get me off of some of my meds by july!!

I was banded 4/7. I'm feeling great. No "sticky" feeling, no nausea, no vomitting, no extreme full feeling. I guess I'm very lucky. I have an appointment with my surgeon 5/22 & my family doctor 4/29 and I'm anxoius to see if I've lost anything yet. I ate a toasted tuna sandwich for lunch today and expected to feel stuffed. I almost felt like i could have eaten more and that really scares me. I didn't eat anything else but I wonder if anyone else had this feeling? Thanks!

I'm scheduled for April 7th too. I am sooooooo excited. My pretesting & final visit with the surgical nurse is this Frifay, March 20th.
