Hi,
I see you mentioned being in Gulfport. I'm in New Orleans. I was banded on 1/26/09. So far so good. How are you doing

Hi
I saw a post somewhere in the Doctors/Hospitals forums indicating that you were considering SCLA @ West Jefferson. Did you use that facility? I was banded there by Dr Treen in January '09. It was a flawless process and I find the support system there to be super.
I'm sure you're banded by now and
I hope you're doing well.
Have a great weekend. It's finally dry!

Hi Lady West,
Have you been banded yet? If so, how's it going?
I was banded in New Orleans on 1/26/09. I'm doing good so far. By far one of the best decisions of my life.
Have a great weekend!

Hi Yetramc,
Good luck on getting your approval soon. I have Blue Cross Blue Shield Anthem and once I met the requirements: psych eval, dietician consult, letter of surgery clearance from my doc and 3 yrs. of weight verification, I was approved within a week or so of the doctors office submitting my application. When I saw that letter in the mail I screamed. Talk about make my day!
Take care.

Hi,
Congrats on your decision to get banded. I was banded in January and for sure it was one of the best decisions I've ever made.
Hopefully your pain doesn't last long. Within 2 days after being home I no longer needed pain meds. Just be sure to take it easy and don't overdo it.
Best of luck to you.

Hi vikki...
We had the same thoughts. I turn 50 this year and said "Hell No", I will not see another birthday at this size. It's time for me to do something for me.
Take care.

Hello TMG,
Thanks for checking on me. I'm doing well. I'm learning to add different things to my menus as I go. It's a learning process for sure. How've you been?

Evening Music,
Just cause we know better choices doesn't mean we always make them. We're still human. I'd die for the Chinese but can pass on the pizza. Don't let the guilt continue to steer you. Sh*t happens. Today is a new day. And you're right, this is an eternal battle.
My stomach is feeling really good. No problems. I'm having a lot of chicken and fish, green beans. I try to mix it up with a few new things.
Check with your Doc. They may know of a support group.
I'm sure you're glad to be home. Have a great weekend!
