Hello Heather! In response to your post on my thread. Yes, those first few post-op days are the worst. Post-op life has been a little rough. I have a very low pain tolerance, and I'm not very good with it, so the pain has been the number one factor. The only place where the pain is quite bad is the area of skin in which my port is. The rest of the scars are just itchy.
Secondly, pre-banding, I could drink 50oz. of water everyday. It kinda sucks not being able to even finish 160z. of water in a single day. Maybe I'm afraid of drinking too much and throwing up, but it's sad. And I'm more thirsty than hungry.
Third, I'm beginning to feel lonely. I hate bothering my family everytime I drop a spoon or can't reach something. I feel completely useless whenever chores need to be finished, and I don't know. I guess I didn't know I would be dealing with the emotional baggage this early into my lap band journey.
Thanks for listening!

Third, I miss the texture of food. It's not that I'm hungry. I just miss the different textures of food. I'm 7 days post op and I feel kinda bored with liquids. Anyway, thank you for the question. Have a blessed holiday!
