Hey all haven't been on in a long time!!! Very busy around here! Everybody seems to be doing great on the weight loss. I have had 2 fills since I have been on last and still have very little restriction. My band is at 6.6cc which scares me thinking there is only a few cc left in the 10 cc band!!!! I have lost 2 more pounds but wish it was way more than that. Chicken also gets stuck for me, and WOW is that the worst feeling ever! How much does everybody have in their band now?? The PA I see now says for me to ask how much they can pull out of my band each time to make sure there are no leaks and to make sure they are in the port! Good info I thought! I also like to shop a Ross if you have one around! Cheap clothes that are from high end stores, just their leftovers!

For everyone that has gotten a fill, are the pounds comming off? I just want to know cause I am in need of one bad, and want to know how its going!

Adamsmom- I am glad that you are able to share with us but what a horrible situation ur in. The job situation will be only temporary (but very hard), but your son going through that, that pulls on any moms heart! I hope that we can give u encouragement here.

Man I have not been on here in a long time! I have missed ya'll....haha if that is possible. My weight has not changed 1 ounce since last week. I have heard about the bread and not settling well with some people, but I have to admit i have had it and it went down fine. I need to get my butt in gear and exercise. We are trying to sell our house and I have no time to do anything but clean and pack and clean........ so I guess that is better than doing nothing! Someday i will get a ticker, when I take the time to figure it out! Amymoe can you tell that they did something today? As far as restriction goes??

WOW it seems everybodys household is sick! I'm sure mine is next! I hope eveybody gets to feeling better. We've been living in confinement I feel like! My 2 year old was a premie and still has some issues so when winter comes around we hide! I too have a mental addiction to food. The first week of the liquid diet before surgery I felt like I was having withdrawals and I'm not kidding! I was SOOOOO moody and it was all I could think about! I then realized it was a real problem. Everybody please update when you get your fill! I want to know how it goes. Have a good weekend everybody!

Hey all, I have finally lost 2 lbs and I don't know how. Haven't really changed anything. Hope everyone is doing good. Has anybody else noticed little clear stiches sticking out of their incisions after the scab falls off? 4 out of the 6 incisions have them just poking out a few mm. I googled it and it looks pretty common so I'm not to worried about it just wondered if any of you guys have noticied it.

Lively- also thanks for posting about the soda!!!! I too loved my diet coke and was wondering abt drinking just a little sip but now I know! Sorry you had to experience it, but thanks for sharing!

Hi all! I still have not lost any this whole week but have not gained any either! Baylee im sure its temporary and that first fill will feel so good (after the fact, that is). I'm a little nervous about the first fill even though mine isn't till march. What if the port is flipped, will the PA that does it know what he's doing, and a needle in my stomach doesn't sound to pleasant. I can't wait! I too have baggy clothes and people are noticing! thats always encouarging! I kind of wish I would have measured just to keep track of inches. Adamsmom- do you still feel restriction since you only get 800 cal in a day? I feel no restricion, but just try to limit what I eat. GRRRRRR

Lively- u feel like your able to eat pretty much any thing?? I think i'm getting scared about the streched pouch that the doctor talked about, but surely its just the swelling going down. I don't get it!!!! I am still on mushies but I eat what I should and then still feel hungry.Just don't feel full after what I used to. GRRRR!!!!

I too have recently been hungry more often. Its so crazy because for the first week and a half I could barly get my protein shakes in and now its just like there is no limit. I don't like it, and the scale shows it. I'm ready for a fill for sure and I too don't get 1 till march. I guess this is normal?? for all those that have the handy guide??

Baylee I haven't had any side pain for awhile. Is it where your port is? I know my port is in the middle but still can feel it when I cough or laugh. I would just call you dr to make sure its ok. Also I worked 3 nights over the weekend and had gas pain every night and the second I came home it went away! WEIRD! I wonder if its something like that. I also haven't been getting all my cal. in, but get to start mushies in 1 DAY!!!!!! YIPPIE!!!! Have a good day everybody!

I too have that spot right by my bra. While I was home I never wore one so it was never bugged but now that I'm back to work all the glue has come off it and is scabbed over. I have been putting a large bandaid over it just to prevent the bra from rubbing right on it! I too have not lost any weight the past 2 days GRRRRR.... I reweighed like three times today cause I knew my scale was wrong. I have not changed anything in my diet and have been very active so I am glad I am not the only one feeling frustrated.

I am also pretty much pain free. I have been working the past 2 nights and the shoulder/gas pain has come back a little bit. has anybody else had that? I just wonder if its from not being at home and in my comfy environment. Baylee I am with you! I admire you guys that don't care what other people think. I too think I am just embarrased that I couldn't do it on my own, and keep it off. What does everybodys scars look like? I had the glue put over mine and its STILL on there and looks pretty much the way it did when I came home from the surgery. Also how much weight has everybody lost? My weight loss has kinds slowed down. only .6 in the past 2 days. I have lost a total of 14lbs since surgery day. hope everybody has a good weekend!

So I'm a little disappointed! My email didn't send me updates that you guys on this thread were still talking so I just figured that nobody was talking! did u guys tell people that your banded? I just told my mom husband and mother in law! I think everybody is wondering though and I hate not telling them. Maybe when I'm skinny I'll let it all out!

The port site is painful sometimes and other times not at all and sometimes just a weird feeling. Also is this protein stuff tearing anybodys stomach up.........if u know what I mean :thumbup: I don't mean to get to personal, haha??????

I have heard that you should go on liquids after a fill. my doctor said I couldn't get a fill until 6 weeks post-op. Thats no fun about the clear liquids but its only a week out of the rest of your life! U are the only one I have seen that has to be clear liquids (plus protein) for 2 weeks post-op I have to be on full liquids for 2 weeks! We have 1 down and 1 to go. YIPPIE! How is everybody feeling. I feel back to normal. no pain just get full very fast! Also my doc said today for anybody else that may want to know, no lifting for 8 weeks post-op do to the sutures and healing. Haven't heard this before so now I'm thinking of all the times I have lifted this past week. AHHHH

I too am bruised and the port site is the sorest but managable. Now it is feeling that the situps that everybody was talking about it would feel like! Got out for a walk and a trip to the mall today. feeling much more back to normal. I too am having a hard time getting down all the protein so I went to a nutrition store and bought powder soy protein. what is everybody else doing to get all the protein in? they recomended 60-80 grams of protein a day for me, but am still on the full liquids for another week 1 scoop of this powder has 25grams protein.

No that is not pathetic and u are not alone! The people at work ordered on the border and I was drooling over their food!! HAHA Ok I can definatly feel the band i think! I used to not be able to but now it is a different feeling. Does anybody else have a weird feeling when they eat or need to burp? like a heaviness? It has just changed all in 1 day. I too had the pain under the rib cage but woke up this morning with it gone so hopefully urs will 2! Also I sat at work lastnight upright in a chair for quite awhile and boy was it uncomfortable. Has anybody done the same. Hope everybody has a good weekend!

Glad to hear everyone is doing well! I too still have some pain! I was hoping to tone down the tylenol today but I'm not gonna suffer! I woke up this morning kinda blue! I think I've been stuck in this house too long! It's freezing in texas if u can believe that. I'm ready to get back to work and some social interaction!!!! :yikes: I almost think todays pain is a little worse than yesterday, and its still in my left side! Hopefully sometime soon it will go away! and I too think about the foods that I will never eat again! sounds rediculous (sp) but true! wishing everybody a great day!!!

WOW it seems like everybodys story is different! Even the # of incisions. I have 6 with one large one where the port is! I too think the extra strength liquid tylenol is almost better than the lortab. But the lortab helps me sleep at night! I called the dr office for a follow up apt and the nurse (who has had this done) said that the side that hurts the worst is where they put the "scope" in. Hope everyone continues to improve! I wonder if the gas pain will ever go away. And I too hope that the 3rd day is the better! What is everybody doing for work?? I am suppose to go back tomorrow night. Has anybody had any lifting limits? I have a 2 year old running around and have tried hard not to hold him.

baylee9866 do u know where they put ur port in? mine is in the middle and my left side is the one that hurts above anything else. WEIRD im calling the doctors office today to schedule the followup and I will ask them then I'll let u know what they say!

I also had hernia repair. I have not had any acid reflux yet with this but I have pain on my left side under the rib cage. Does anybody else have that??

Hey Guys My name is andie and I too was banded yesterday! I am 25 and have battled this all my life so I figered this was best for me! How is everyone doing?? I am pretty sore. Gas pain mostly. Shoulder and left side pain! I have been switching tylenol with the lortab and it seems to be working ok. Anybody know how long this gas pain is suppose to last? Hope everybody is doing good!

Ok so I am new to this forum and ready for a new life! I have been overweight all my life and am tired of the 30lbs lost and gained plus some over and over again!! I have some questions for those that have had this done. First off has anyone dealt with TLCedge group in the Dallas area? I am planning on doing the self pay option because I have no co-morbid issues and a BMI of 36. Also I have no PCP (mine just recently moved out of state), is a PCP required for the self pay option? This web site is great and I love hearing all the success stories! Thanks for any input! :tongue_smilie:
