As corny as it sounds walking really helped me with the gas pain.

For me, the hardest part has been the about 1 month after OP to the point of getting restriction. During this time I was healed up and I didn't have restriction so I was starting to slide back into old habits. After a few candide talks with my doctor he got me on the right track.
