Wow, you guys look great. Keep up the good work.

If you can eat more than 1/4 cup of food you need a fill. I always start my day with a protein shake so I can get enough protein in. Also, try to have your calories stay between 800-1200, 1000 is even better. Good luck.

That is great. I remember when I went from a 24 to an 18. I was thrilled. Keep up the good work.

Lori, good for you girl! Keep up the good work. -
I think it would look great on you.

Yes, a band can be okay from a slip with an unfill. That is the first thing they do when there is a slip.

Good for you. My sister is trying to convince to me to get a body bug. How do you like yours?

Very cool. I haven't scene my band in 16 months. Looks like everything looks good.

Yes, you should be able to eat a cup of food. Yes, you have a pouch. You just can't feel the pouch restriction yet since you haven't had a fill. Good luck. -
I remember when I cleaned out my drawers and closet. It took me quite a few bag fulls to empty them. I've had to do that 3 times already. Good for you.

Its very common to be tight in the a.m. Sometimes drinking warm liquids will help.

Lauren, congrats! Good luck.

I agree with Alexandra. If you are hungry that soon you need another fill. Good luck.

Passing For Thin - Support Thread for Those Approaching Goal
juliegeraci replied to JulieNYC's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I was banded 16 months ago and I am 21 lbs from goal. My doctor said that if I get to 32% BMI I am considered in a good range. That would bring me to 195. If I wanted to get to 25% BMI I would have to get down to 165. -
My band holes 4 ccs. I had about 1 cc my first fill. It took me 5 fills to get to 3 ccs.

Productive burp. It is the same as vomitting.

I chose the band because I didn't want the invasive surgery. My recover was very easy. I also like the fact that it can be adjusted.

concerned about hunger
juliegeraci replied to MissSac's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sometimes your hunger will return before your first fill. In my case, I am 16 months out. I get hungry a few hours after a meal. I eat a few small meals a day. Good luck. -
New; Considering Procedure
juliegeraci replied to MrsLindsey11's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I don't think there are any negatives to the surgery at all. I do miss food sometimes though. The positive are naturally the weight loss and not being as hungry. I am considered a slower or average loser at 1 lb per week. I've been banded 16 months and I'm down 66 lbs so far. I am 25 lbs from goal. You just have to go into this as if you will only lose 1-2 lbs a week. Make sure you exercise. That really helps. Good luck. -
Crystal. Great job. Keep up the good work.

Isn't that exciting! Keep up the good work.

Looking forward to skinny

Katie, I weighed 282 when I was banded. How tall are you? Currently I am 216. -
New; Considering Procedure

What kind of questions do you have? -
Yes with good restriction it can take up to 5 seconds to go through the soma. This is normal for good restriction. If you can't hold down mushies I would be alarmed. Good luck.

Eating b/f first fill
juliegeraci replied to Saintluver's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It may take you several fills to get to the 1/2 cup size. Right now you shouldn't have any restriction.
