    Fillings

Some doctors do put a little filling in during surgery so check with yours. If not, they typically do fills 6 weeks after surgery at your post surgery appointment.

    Someone slap me!

YOu will be fine. Restriction is key here. It took me 5 fills to finally reach a good spot. Keep moving and get fills. That is the answer. Good luck.

    Sharing my experience

K@t, it is all about restriction my dear. It took me 5 fills and forever to finally hit a spot I was comfortable with. Keep going back until you feel the good restriction and you are losing 1-2 lbs per week. Good luck.

How to tell if your fill is enough, or too much?

There are 3 types of "tight" Tight to liquid, tight to soft and tight to solid. My doctor said that if you are tight to solids you should stear clear of them and try and stay on a soft diet. That being said, if you feel like you really want to eat solids and are having difficulty I would recommend a slight unfill.

    What could have happened

Joho, what size band do you have? It sounds like you may need a small tweak. Good luck.

    I did it!!!

That is a huge accomplishment. I am down about 85 lbs since my preop diet too. I can't wait to hit the 100 lb mark. Way to go!

    SCALE VICTORY! Small but significant

Good for you! Isn't it great not to be a slave to the scale. If you eat right and exercise it moves down. It is that simple. Good job!

    i'm cheating.....already

bandster, look back and think about why you got banded. Also, it sounds like you may not be getting enough protein. The chili and meatloaf will fill you up the most. YOu'll be okay. Just learn from this and move on.

    Humiliation

Jennibee, I am sorry that happened to you. When I went from 175 to the 200s I ran into an old friend of mine. He looked at me and said "what happened to Julie". I never looked at it that way until he said that to me. It really hurt. You handled that with grace.
  10. I am so glad you are a patient of Doctor McKeen. What a cutie isn't he! Glad you are doing okay . He is a wonderful surgeon. Good luck.

Defilled, then refilled, but not working now!

What is your band size? I have heard that some people need as much as 7 ccs.
  12. Good for you! Keep up the good work.

    pbing or puking happening daily

PBing is productive burp. It is similar to vomitting.

    Humiliation

That would definitely hurt my feelings. What a bitch. Take it in stride . YOu will love being banded. Good luck.
  15. 1-2 lbs per week. 800-1k calories is best but some bandsters eat 1200 Hope that helps.

I have 3 tatoos. One on my right thigh, one on my right foot and ankle and one on my left breast. I love all of them.

Am I still too tight or just swollen?

I would try and go on liquids for a few days. If that doesn't help then you need an unfill.

    Third Fill In 3 Weeks

Good luck to you. I know how it can be when you are waiting for restriction.
  19. Why haven't you had a fill yet? Typically they will fill you after your 6 week checkup. It sounds like it is time. Good luck.

I went to an amusement park and rode all the rides without an issue. It was great fun. Have fun!

    Seriously Thinking About Backing Out

Don't be ashamed of yourself. The liquid diet phase is not easy. Do you have a GNC close by? They have a great protein shake in soy and whey. I would try their chocolate. Good luck.

Are your fills done under x-ray?

Mine only uses fluoro if you are difficult to fill. He always gets my fill on the first attempt.

How long does a typical "sweet spot" last?

Yes, it is time for a fill when you are hungry, are eating too much or and not losing.
