PS-My sister doesn't approve. I need support! Please help.
juliegeraci replied to juliegeraci's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Hi Steph, its me again! Yes, its true. So what if I don't spend 3 hours in the gym every day. I am happy with my weight loss and exercise routine. I am still losing 1-2 lbs per week. I can't believe how negative she is about PS. She said that I am basically lazy in her own terms. I am so sick of this. I only want to be a size 16. I am an 18 right now and just fit into so tight 16W the other day. Thank you for your support! -
Found out today that my insurance will not cover PS. Who else has paid out of pocket and how much? What procedures did you have done?
-
You are doing so good! Just stay on high protein, low carb and lots of vegies. Try and stay to 1 cup per meal if you can and count calories. Try and stay to 1200 calories a day. You will be fine. I am glad you are feeling better.

My insurance will not pay for PS
juliegeraci replied to juliegeraci's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Hi Steph, what did the $10k include? Was it outpatient? Mine wanted me in overnight for a TT and BA but it looks like it may have to be outpatient now. Let me know. What did the $6k include? -
I am now 30 lbs from goal and 10 lbs from plastic surgery. I joined Weight Watchers again and am doing pretty well. I met with the plastic surgeon on Tuesday and she said I could have surgery 20 lbs from goal. That puts me at 10 lbs from PS!

Bring alternative snacks like a fat free fudge bar. Keep your eye on the prize. Its not worth it!

Lauren, I am 10 lbs from PS. Does your doctor include an overnight stay or outpatient? -

How much was your tummy tuck and did insurance cover it? -
I think my hospital stay alone was over $30k for one night! The actual surgery was only $15k I believe.

1st of 3 PS consults Tuesday. What to expect?
juliegeraci replied to juliegeraci's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Kat, I hear you. My insurance hasn't responded yet so I have no idea what is going on. They are going to try and have the TT covered but truthfully I don't think plastic surgery is covered under my plan which I called on. I am hoping she is roughly $10k or so for a tummy tuck and breast augmentation which I could afford. The hospital is under my insurance plan so they should cover 100$ plus the anaestesia. Let me know what happens! -

I am 30 lbs from goal. My goal is 3 more months to lose at least 20 lbs to get ready for PS. What can I expect when I meet with the plastic surgeon? I am looking into a TT, lower body lift with lip and a breat augmentation. -
Breast augmentation March 27th
juliegeraci replied to Buffie's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Good for you! I'm an A/B and looking for a small D. I should be able to get mine in the next 3 month. I have about 10 lbs to lose before she said I am qualified. I can't wait to fit into my bathing suit. I swear., I have the incredible shrinking breasts! -
Doc says, "It won't work unless you make a lifestyle change"
juliegeraci replied to angelsoul's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
The biggest lifestyle change for me is exercise and alcohol. If you drink a lot you may have difficulty losing. Likewise with exercise. The more you exercise the greater the results. The food issues too. Some foods go down really easy. It will be very important for you to eat good healthy solid proteins and less junk. If you are ready to do those 3 things then you can be banded. Good luck on your journey. -
Scared to tell mom about breast augmentation
juliegeraci posted a topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I have lost over 100 lbs and I'm 32 lbs from goal. My breasts have gone down to an A/B from a nice C. I tried on my B cup the other day and it was indented on my left side, my smaller breast. So now I"m close to an A. Long story short, my mom had a friend who had implants a few years ago and within a year she had them removed. I know I am not her but I fear that my mom will be upset with me for doing that to my body. My clothes fit fine but it is more difficult to fit things with bras inserted like swimwear. I would like to go to a D cup as that is what I was when I breast fed. I am also scared they may be so obvious because I am only a B. I don't want them to look fake. I also heard they can be hard if you don't have a lot of breast tissue to work with. Any ideas on what I could tell my mom? -
Thankfully I am almost out of LB sizes, but I do like to shop there. There is also a store called Fashion Bug I have learned to like. They are a little less expensive. I'm going tomorrow to pick out an outfit at LBs. I have a coupon for $50 off $150 in purchases. It just came in the mail.

I lost about 50 lbs and was able to go back on the roller coasters. It was quite fun. good luck.

I ordered a DVD called Shapely Secrets online. It is muscle on muscle exercise. I lost 1/2" in my hips in a week. Its only a 7 minute work out and very easy.

That happened to me only one time in 21 months. I didn't call my doctor because I pretty much thought it was due to strain. It hasn't happened again.

Heartburn is a sign of being too tight. There are only a couple remedies. One is medication and the other one is a slight unfill. The slight unfill .3 worked for me. Good luck.
-
If you are losing on the volume you are okay. If not, I would get a fill. I can only eat up to 2 oz of protein at once and am fine with that. Good luck.

Scared to tell mom about breast augmentation
juliegeraci replied to juliegeraci's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Hi Steph, I broke down and told her yesterday. She wasn't realy concerned about the implants more the cost. She went on to tell me all about the friends she has that have had plastic surgery. Now I am glad I told her. Going from a B to a D would have been so obvious! -
1st of 3 PS consults Tuesday. What to expect?
juliegeraci replied to juliegeraci's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Hi Kat, I met with the plastic surgeon yesterday. She said I needed an extended tummy tuck. We also spoke about a breast lift with implants, a thigh lift and my arms being done. She will only have to have an incision under my arm pit and not down the side of the arm which I was happy about. They submitted everything to insurance so I am waiting to hear. I am hoping they will pay for my tummy tuck. We will see. I will not know the cost until later in the week. -
might as well be addicted to crack

Forgive yourself and go get a fill. You don't have enough restriction. -
