My DH is very supportive. I have 30 more lbs to lose to hit my goal weight. He doesn't bug me the least. What would happen if you never lost the remaining weight? It is very typical to lose 60% then stop. Good luck.

Losing too much weight
juliegeraci replied to VegasGrace's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 5'8 inches tall. My surgeon and I set my weight goal at 185. That puts me in a size 14 most likely tight. I am now 213 and I am in a size 16 and quite pleased. I really do believe that weight comes down to individual preference. While I am still considered overweight at 185 I am totally stoked at the notion that I use to weight 320 and 185 is a nice size for me. So basically it comes down to comfort. If Grace isn't happy in a size 4 then she should definitley gain a few lbs, even if it may make her overweight on the BMI chart. Love the body you are in. That is what I have learned as a Bandster. Hi Jenny, yes. this happened to me as well. There is a solution they can put in that helps weapy tubing. Its called omnipique or something similar. Its like fixing a flat tire. Ask them about it at your next fill. It worked for me very well.

Julie Geraci - goes for plastic surgery 4/21
juliegeraci replied to juliegeraci's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Thanks everyone! Today I went to the bank to get the money for my surgery. It is due at my preop on Monday. I am very excited, I really hope it turns out okay. He did say that I was ready but I am a bit nervous since I am still 30 lbs from goal. He said it would not make that big of a difference. Wish me luck! -
April/May plastics 08
juliegeraci replied to juliegeraci's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Hi Tracy, my insurance will not cover anything. It is $20k out of pocket for my extended tummy tuck with lipo and my thigh lift with lipo. Julie -

Personally speaking I would work with the anaseathilogiest instead of the insurance company. You know how funny insurance companies can be. Good luck getting your refund! -

29Feb - losingjusme's plastics day
juliegeraci replied to losingjusme's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
How soon after a TT can you swim or take a bath? I want to have mine in late April and in June we are going to Hawaii. -
My only set back is Starbucks. It is difficult for me to get fast food down. Congrats on a great NSV.

Jill, alcohol isn't a problem. Enjoy!

That is the beauty of the band. If you are losing too much and want to maintain all you need is a slight unfill. The will accommodate more caloric intake as well as more hunger.

Like the hair short, way to go!

Between the blood work, EKG, Nutrionist and Psych eval it took me 6-8 weeks. I went through my insurance so that took an extra week or so as well.

I am 30 lbs from goal and I am already ready for PS. She is going to do a tummy tuck first followed by thigh lift and my arms. If you are close to goal I would say now is the time!

If I were you I would go back for another fill. -
Heather, that is fabulous. Congrats!

I lost 4 lbs on Weight Watchers this week. That puts me 8 lbs away from having plastic surgery!
-
Hi Seppi, my first surgery is a extended tummy tuck. Then I am having a thigh lift and my arms done.
-
I think you look perfect. I wouldn't lose any more weight. 174 is perfect for your height.
-
Mine was medication that I had problems with. If you can't sleep you may want to go to the doctor before it gets more serious.

Losing too much weight
juliegeraci replied to VegasGrace's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi Grace, I would suggest a slight unfill so you can eat maybe a few more calories a day to maintain. Usuall you gain a couple lbs then stabilize. I would just watch the scale closely. Good job getting to goal. -
not filled yet and eating everything i can.. 2 weeks post OP anyone with same issue??
juliegeraci replied to viviananna's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
First of all, calmn down. You can eat over 1 cup of food and still be okay. Just stay with the program and everything will be okay. -
I talked to her today and she said 8 lbs will not make a difference for my tummy tuck. That being said I am still going to try and lose it prior to surgery. I am looking at late April for my tummy tuck.

Kareyquilts TT, BL, Lipo & BA
juliegeraci replied to kareyquilts's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Karey, you look great! My stomach is about like yours. I am so motivated now! I talked to my plastic surgeon today and she said that I could have my tummy tuck right now since I only have 8 more lbs to lose to get to 20 lbs from goal. I am thinking of surgery in late April. -
I am 28 lbs from goal, 8 lbs from plastic surgery. I have gone from a size 24 to a size 16. 16 was my original goal but now I'm thinking 14!
