Hi Lauren, I would go with the job that has the most flexible work hours and gives you the most hours as appose to one that you are not sure of. Good luck.

I am so sorry to hear about your tumor. Keep us updated on your progress.

For me its a question of being just loose enough to eat, not gain weight and not PB. I am 10 lbs from goal so I'm going in for a slight tweak once I recover from plastic surgery. My goal is to get to a good fill where I can stabilize and not PB as often. I think that once I get there I'll probably be there long term without a fill. Depends on if the fill absorbs or not. I'll have to see.

How much are you able to consume at one time? With good restriction it is 1/4 to 1/2 cup of food. If you can consume more you probably need a fill. How after are you Hungry? How many calories a day to you consume?

Both during my lapband surgery and my plastic surgery the tube was removed when I was under. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Good luck with your surgery. How exciting. -
How much is plastic surgery in Mexico

Please take into consideration your post op care. I have had to go back once since surgery to get 1 of 2 drains removed. Next week I'll be going back in again to have the final drain removed. Best of luck with your decision. -
May 14 TT, any helpful information??
juliegeraci replied to a topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I agree with the doctor. It took me several days to get the full exhaustion affect from my tt. I am 2 weeks post op Monday and finally up and about more. Postponing the party is probably a good idea. Good luck with your tt. -

After I heal I just plan on using my Spanx which go just below the breast line. Right now I am wearing the one they put me in in the hospital. It is getting a little loose though. -

Monday will be 2 weeks since my surgery. Today is the first day I feel somewhat back to normal. I was itching for a shower so I hooked my drain to my bathing suit top and was able to shower. I swear that was better than the best meal or sex! I felt so good that I was able to shave my legs too which was quite nice. My husband is washing my compession garmet so I am very happy. Put some fresh PJs on and I'm good to go. It was so nice to wash my hair in the shower again. So today is a good day. Just taking it slow but had a good start. Hoping the drain will be out by early next week. -
Hi Dee, sorry my post might be a little too late. Dr. Robert McKeen, South Bay Bariatrics is an awesome doctor that takes other doctor's patients and Mexico patients. He is $200 for a fill. He is near Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose. Bascom Avenue and Good Samaritan Drive. I hope he can help you. Julie

Advice about restriction please!?
juliegeraci replied to loveangelpet's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
It is typical to take a few bites and then the pouch opens up. That is first bite syndrom. You may find that you still have that response with a good fill. The difference will be that when you start to eat again you will not consume as much and you will feel fuller longer. That is when you get closer to your sweet spot. The first bite syndrom may be still the same with the fill but you should eat less and be hungry less often. HOpe this helps. -
Getting an un-fill during vacation??
juliegeraci replied to redrum602's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I know some people are against unfills for vacation but its a personal decision. I did do that once without regret. I had .3 taken out and gained about 3 lbs which wasnt' too bad. I would just make sure you get back to your sweet spot asap after their visit. It may take you a couple fills to do that. Have fun. Don't overdue it though. -
Stay on liquids for 2 days then move to soft foods. You may be slightly swollen. If that doesn't work you may want a slight unfill.

Steph, congrats on your tummy tuck. It was a lot easier than the thigh lift. I do still have one drain in. You should be okay to do the payroll. Good luck finding an outfit to hid the drain for the track event. I wore a sweater over a top the other day and it hid it well. Have fun and good luck on Thursday. -

Hi Steph, I think doing things day 5 and 8 is a little agressive. If you can get at least 1 drain out and hide the other and wash your hair in the kitchen sink you may be okay. I do feel okay but am tired. I've only had a 15 minute outing since surgery. Looking forward to getting the final drain out this week so I can shower. Good luck Thursday. -

Hi Kat, he didn't give me anything to clean me out. I took a laxative 4 days after surgery so I was able to go on day 5. That realy helped. -

Hi Ladies, my before pics probably look about the same. My friend has them on her camera so hopefully I will post them in a week or 2. You are not going to belive how great the TT really is. I can honestly say this is the best cosmetic thing I've ever done. I am not in size 16 which was my goal. I only want to get to 200 lbs and as of yesterday I was about 10-15 lbs from that. I lost 6 lbs during ps and it finally showed on the scale. The funny thing is that I have lost my appetite as well so I started to lose again. I go back in for a fill in about 10 days. Good luck on Thursday! -

HI Ladies, I wanted to let you know that the surgery has finally hit me. I feel like a freight train has hit me finally. Not sure if it is because of the blood drains or what. I am trying to wean myself off of the pain medication because it makes me feel really tired. Yesterday I tried to put some regular pants on and that was a problem with the thigh lift. I really bled from that. Today I am not wearning any pants at all so I am much more comfortable. My husband washed me down with some nice healthy soap so I feel more comfortable. I should get the final drain out on Monday or Tuesday. Today I have only bled out 25 ccs so that is good. My typical day runs 50 ccs. Overall I am satisfied however not really sure about the thigh lift. He didn't stich me very tight so I still have some lose skin. I really though that problem would be resolved. I haven't been able to wear my girdle yet so I'm wondering if the thighs will look better this week after I start wearing it. I'm sure Karey yours will turn out good because it sounds like the incision will be around the body more. My stomach looks awesome thouhg. I am thrilled. -

I took 2 weeks off. The tummy tuck was a breeze accept for the drains. I think 2 - 3 weeks is plenty. My thigh lift is a little more difficult. I do still bleed a little bit from the incisions. -
Unfill for PS - how to avoid gaining weight?
juliegeraci posted a topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
My doctor took me from 3.2 to 2.7 a few days ago. I think I have started to gain a little weight. Just wondering how you dealt with your unfill? -

Steph, when is your date? What exactly are you having done? For me the tummy tuck has been really easy. I can't even tell you how great my stomach looks. I had a lapband friend over this a.m. and showed her my abs and she couldn't believe how flat it was. 6.2 lbs of pannus. I am thrilled. Good luck. Julie
