It takes a lot to stretch out your pouch so you're probably fine. You need to slow down your eating. The sensation of being full will come when you slow down. Good luck.

dizzy after being banded
juliegeraci replied to pattic's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes, I would call your doctor. Sounds like it is just the change in your diet. Good luck and welcome to band land. -
Hi Cindi, you are fine. You didn't hurt your band. I would move back to liquids then move to soft foods within 2 weeks. The swelling should be going down soon so when you do eat a soft diet you will know the difference. Good luck.

Socializing smack dab in the middle of liquid diet

I would go to a restraunt that serves soup for sure. Also, if you plan on drinking alcohol make sure its not carbonated. Have fun. -
Hi Shannon, I had my PS on 4/21 and I'm still recovering. I had a tummy tuck and thigh lift. Best of luck to you.

Hi Cindi, welcome to band land. Scrambled eggs are really hard to get down so I would move away from them. While you are healing I would stick to soups, cottage cheese, maybe some chili when the time is right. Don't eat soft foods too soon. It takes about 2 weeks to move onto the next stage. I would stick to creamy soups without chicken, protein shakes and maybe some yogurt or apple sauce for a week or 2. Best of luck on your journey.

Yes, it is like vomitting. Its called productive burp. You try and burp up your food and its like vomitting.

Congrats on having your lapband surgery on Friday, how exciting! I like you, tried everything possible to lose weight and keep it off. I've been banded almost 2 years and I am thrilled with my results. When you get good restriction food will no longer control your life. Maintaining your weight loss is easy when you have good restriction. I love being able to eat anything I want, just less of it. I am 10 lbs from goal right now and don't look back. I am so glad I made this decision. Good luck on Friday.

I am 3 weeks post op and very tired still. I would think if you are on your feet and need to stand upright that it would take at least 4-6 weeks to get back into the swing of things. Also, keep in mind that you may have drain in too. I had one drain out 2 days post op and the other one almost 3 weeks. The tummy tuck isn't sore or anything like that, its just tiring.

Tomorrow is the day!!!

Hi Holly, how exciting! The only thing I would suggest is loose fitting clothing. The port site will be sore. I remember how it was for me nearly 2 years ago. You will love your band. Good luck tomorrow. -
If you are eating a lot I would be bummed. You have a ton of willpower!

I am sorry there is so much negativity around you. Moving forward I would only surround myself with those who are positive including this forum. This decision was yours and its a very personal one. Come to the boards to post as often as possible. I am really glad you made the decision to change your life. Good luck.

Keith, when you say you can eat 1 1/2 cup of food that sounds like a lot to me. With good restriction it is more like 1/2 cup of food. Also, with good restriction comes little hunger. Exercise will help but good restriction is key. Good luck.

I'm sure he will not start the process again. Typically at Kaiser it takes 5-6 months to get banded. Congrats on the weight loss to date. Keep going.

I have lost 110 lbs and just had plastic surgery. I had a tummy tuck and thigh lift. I would save your money for plastic surgery. There is probably nothing you can do to help the situation. Exercise will help but genetics play a big part. Congrats on your weight loss to date.
-
Paula, how is your restriction? How much volumne can you eat?
-
They didn't ask me that during my interview. It may not come up.

4 lbs in 4 weeks is very good. I gained 8 in 2 weeks when I had a slight unfill. I would make your appointment for the day after your birthday.

please read and if you hear me i need your input
juliegeraci replied to hairband's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Ditto. I would seek some counseling. -
My doctor makes me wait 2 weeks in between fills.
-
Would you get another fill the week before your honeymoon?
juliegeraci replied to bandster_1007's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I am really glad you are okay. I had a D&C when I miscarried. Glad you like your new job as well. I am glad you have proper restriction now and will not be getting a fill. Have a nice honeymoon. -
