I didn't have restriction until after my 3rd fill. You probably need another fill. You shouldn't feel as hungry as you are describing, thus another fill is in order.
-
Creamy soups really helped me. Don't worry about the weight gain. I had lost a little bit then bam gained about 6 or 8 lbs. It went away after I had a fill. Until you have restriction the band is not performing up to expectations.

I'm a slow loser. I've lost 30 lbs since June. My doctor said I am right on track though at 1 lb a week. Hope everything goes better for you.

I really like GNCs chewable vitamins. I take a multi vitamin and a chewable yummy calcium. You should try theirs.

Yes, I want to look and feel good again. I would say that vanity definitely played a role.
-
My doctor uses a numbing agent. I wouldn't want to have it done otherwise. He doesn't use fluro. Good luck.
-
Lauren, that is great news. Keep us posted on your outcome.

I at a ton or soups, yogurt, protein shakes. It does get better. Good luck and congrats on your surgery.

My hiccups come when I'm full. Other than that I don't get them. They are normal though.

Family thinks my surgery will "ruin" Christmas

mypov, you will be okay. You shouldn't be very sore or anything. Just make sure you follow the doctors diet and don't eat what you aren't suppose to. Good luck. -
Taking Prescription Medicine with the Band
juliegeraci replied to reagansmom's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I was told the pill has to be no bigger than the size of an M&M. I split the one that is bigger. No problem at all. -
Hi Nikki, welcome to the lapband forum. You will find a lot of useful information just by surfing the site. Good luck with your surgery.

What would the boy/girl you were at 18... think of the MAN/WOMAN you are today?

As far as my physical health I would be amazed and disgusted that my weight has gotten so out of control. In high school I was a major athlete so its hard to imagine my 175 frame has gotten to 252 (320 high). I would like the family and motherhood stuff though. -
Banded one year ago. What a diffrence a year has made.

You look great. Keep up the good work. -
Don't get too down on yourself. Be honest with your doctor and get back on track. You can do this.

Anyone use protein shake diet to boost weight loss?
juliegeraci posted a topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I've been on a plateau for 3 weeks. Has anyone done straight protein shakes to boost losing? Thanks. -
Doctor McKeen is my doctor in San Jose. He is the best! Good luck with your progress.
-
I had my fill about that time as well and I did great. Good luck.

My doctor feels for my port and I've had no problems. -
You will do fine. You will just have to stay on liquids that evening. My doctor has me return to mushies the day after. Have fun!
-
Gina, It sounds perfect level to me . Since you are able to eat small bites with PB'ing I would stay at that level. Best of luck.
-
This sounds normal. I am tight in the a.m. and sometimes during lunch. It seems that dinner goes down better for me. Good luck.
-
I had the same feeling and I think I took Pepcid AC. That really helped me. You are probably swollen as well so that doesn't help. Good luck.

Why did I do this to myself..........
juliegeraci replied to apinksoprano's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
This is still a critical time for you to heal so just be careful. Chances are your doctor will move you into the mushy phase when he sees you. Solids are not too far away. You are doing great. Hang in there. -
Good job. Isn't it exciting when you go down a size! I went down to a size 22 and I'm very happy. Now I'm looking at 20s. Good luck!
