Joe, just try and share as much as you can with your wife during the presurgery phase. Once she understands more about the lapband the better off she will be to support you. Having a supportive spouse is really important. Good luck to you.

Dani, I would move to creamy soups. They are allowed on the liquid phase if you eat them without meat. Cream of broccoli is the best. It goes down really nice. Good luck. -

Hi Tiffany, I was exactly like you that is why I went with the band. I have dieted my entire life with failure. This is the first time in my life I am not bound by a diet. I eat and stop when I'm full. It is really that simple. I've lost 32 lbs without having to worry about dieting. It is truly a gift. Good luck with your surgery. It will be life changing.

Philly - NY Corridor Fill Doctor Question Pre-Op

I can't give you a doctor suggestion but I can tell you that you should have a fill doctor before going to Mexico. I have heard several times that doctors will no take patients that were banded in Mexico. I hope you can find a good follow up doctor. Good luck. -

How long at the hospital everyone?

The hospital will call who is picking you up when you are done in recovery. I would think that if you had a 9am surgery you would be out by 2pm. -

That sounds about right. I think I was at solid food about 4-6 weeks out. I remember going to my checkup and I had at least 1 week left of mushies. Good luck. Healing phase. -
I've lost 72 lb total including what I lost before surgery. I am down at least 1 cup size.

My husband loves me just as I am and is excited for me to want to lose the weight. Fat or thin he loves me. I would never date anyone that didn't like me just the way I am, fat or thin. -
