I Never Really Introduced Myself
juliegeraci replied to tammyj's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hi Tammy, you will always have someone that comments about the band. I would highly recommend that you be selective on who you tell. The decision is very personal. You will love your band. I feel like I'll never gain this weight loss back. Congrats on making the first decision on the procedure. Good luck. -

juliegeraci replied to bandonme's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hello, at the end of my journey I would have lost 120 lbs. I lost 30 lbs post op. I've been banded since June and have lost just over 30 lbs. I'm considered a slow loser at 1 lb per week. Best of luck to you. -
Determined To Have The Band
juliegeraci replied to Amy M's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
You should be able to go straight to the insurance company and have them answer that. They can look it up for you. My fills are not covered. Good luck. -
Considering Surgery
juliegeraci replied to onedayskinny's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I didn't have a preop diet, but if I did I'm sure I would have cheated. Don't worry too much. Just do the best you can do. Either way you will be okay for surgery. Good luck. -
Its completely normal. I had a major meltdown right before my surgery. Just relax. Everything will be okay.

My New Years resolution is to stop smoking. I've been smoking for 2 years. I use to smoke a little but now I smoke every day. I also want to lose the rest of my weight starting now at 7 lbs which would bring me 1/2 way to goal.

Hi Kaye, my doctor does fills 2 weeks apart. Maybe you could get in earlier than February for yours. Don't worry too much about the weight loss. You are still early out in the process. You will do fine.

I am writing this while I am emotionally have difficulty over the loss of a supportive friend. We were friends for 2 years and he was the backbone of my weight loss journey. 7 months ago we just stopped talking. Says that he needed to do that because he is in a better place now. I don't know what I did but I miss him horibly. I cry all the time and I can't reach out to him. I guess I'm in mourning. He knew what it was like to be overweight. He understood my trials and tribulations. He was my rock, my confidant and I loved him for that. Please give me some sound advice. Contacting him is out of the question.

juliegeraci replied to texas2penn's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The only thing I was prescribed was an anti nausea medicine and patches to prevent nausea. No other meds were given to me.
