    Fell Off The Wagon

Just try and eat your 900 calorie diet. You shouldn't be able to eat all that food with the best restriction.

    disappointed with Lap band

Dr. Robert McKeen is really good here in San Jose, CA. You should give him a call. His fills are $200 if you have surgery with him. Not sure how much if you don't have surgery with him. Its worth a call.
  3. Jason, congrats on getting banded. You are doing great.

Melanie, how many calories a day are you consuming? How much restriction do you have?

Loss of a good friend by her choice

Kat, thanks for the post. She sure put you through a lot. I think after all the shock wears off I'll be able to take a fresh look at it. She wanted me to be totally honest about my affair, but when I was she became judgemental. I certainly don't need friends like that. I have some other friends that would never judge me.

    Scared to Death

You may have to have more than 1 fill to feel good restriction. It will also help with your hunger. Try not to eat more than 1 cup of food at a time. Limit your snacks and try and eat as healthy. I think once you get a couple good fills things will turn around for you. Good luck.

    Banded right after Christmas

Bethpia, its okay to gain a couple lbs. That happened to me in between fills. You will be okay once you have the proper restriction.

Loss of a good friend by her choice

I relate to all of it. I really thought after 25 years my friend would be lifetime. She couldn't get over the affair I had last year. Its too bad because I trusted her and I was completely honest with her. Just goes to show you really don't know a friend's true colors until you go through something. I am better to have known her but unfortunately I can honestly say she will never be in my heart again. She has totally burned me.

Loss of a good friend by her choice

Karen, sorry to hear about your husband and mother. It sounds like you really went through it. I am glad that I am handling it a lot better today. I just have to remember the reason why some people come into my life. Some are for a reason, season or a lifetime.

Looking for Fill Doc in Northern Cal

Dr. McKeen is in San Jose and he is awesome. He charges $200 for a fill. Not sure what his price is if you don't have surgery with him. Good luck.

    Post-Op Protein

Benbax, you should definitely have protein shakes. Mine are from GNC and they have 25 grams of protein in them. I would make sure you have protein shake mix in the house for sure.

    Banded on Monday the 19th

Sherri, what you are experiencing is normal. Just take it easy and you will be pain free soon. Good luck.
  18. My fear is actually that I will not hit my goal. I have been on a plateau for about 2 weeks without a budge. My calorie intake is low so I don't know what is going on. Good luck being banded. I can't wait to hit goal and have my plastic surgery!

    Foods that I can eat..

I eat a lot of tuna fish with mayo, no bread. I also enjoy yogurt, protein shakes, cheese sticks. Tuna is my favorite though.
  20. I have felt the same way. My highest weight was 320. I was banded at 282 down from 308 (lost 30 on my own). I'm now about 237. I look in the mirror and can't believe my size 24 is in a size 20 now. I can actually fit a size Large shirt! You just need to visualize the loss as it goes away. Take care of yourself every day. You will find that you will be looking really good soon. Just accept the fact that the old "fat" self is going away. Good luck.

    New from Michigan

Welcome to lapbandtalk forum. Congrats on your weight loss to date. Good luck.
  23. Matt, I can feel every bite go down. Just try and limit your food intake to no more than a cup. In a 45 minutes span you are probably doing okay. It allows enough time for the food to begin to pass through the band so you probably are not stretching it out. Good luck.

I caved on the liquid diet

xraychic, try and go back on your liquids as soon as you can. You probably haven't done any damage but it is important to heal. Good luck.
