Yes, this can happen. I think you can have it positioned through general anastetic. Good luck. Julie

    Banded 3/8/07

I don't know why but probably something to do with the way the body handles a regular pill. Congrats on your weight loss and being banded. Julie

    Kind of Disappointed...

I remember how it was for me early on. I gained weight before I started getting good restriction so hang in there. Julie

    Slow loser/No restriction

Shell, how many calories a day do you take in? It is recommended that you take in 800-1k calories a day as a bandster. Does your trainer have you on a weight loss program. Mine wanted me to eat a ton of food but I couldn't. Julie

    Slow loser/No restriction

Dori, it took me 5 fills and 8 months to find the best fill level so be patient. Also, keep in mind that the average weight loss is 1-2 lbs a week. Some people lose a lot faster but don't be discouraged. The weight loss will come.

Thanks for the suggestion of the Nectar Capuccino, I just ordered it. I can use as much protein as possible. Thanks again. Julie

    Question About Medications/diabetes

Once you start to lose weight chances are your diabetes will go away. I take 5 pills a day without a problem. I can take a standard pill size without having to split it. You may have to check with your pharmacist to see if you can split your pills. Good luck with your surgery. Julie

To band or not to band....

Ray, just follow the bandsters diet to the tee and you will be fine. It will be really important for you to get optimal fill level as soon as you can. That will help you with the weight loss. Julie

To band or not to band....

Getting banded is a personal decision. Do not let your family or friends take away your dream. I love being banded and I wouldn't want it any other way. Julie

    first fill

PKP1492, I am considered an average/slow loser at 1 lb a week. It took me 8 months to get to optimal fill level. Keep the faith. You will get there. Julie
  21. Cal, that is your restriction speaking to you. If you are still able to consume a lot of food you aren't tight enough. You just have to live with the gurgling. Julie

Emily, what you are experiencing is normal given you don't have restriction. It is time for a fill.
