12 pounds from goal-just unfilled-no restriction-Now what?
juliegeraci replied to ginger12/26's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
WW is a good idea. You most likely will gain. Why didn't he just remove .3 or something like that. That usually helps with solids. -
Please help...very hungry, and 1st fill is 2 weeks away!
juliegeraci replied to CorvetteFerrari's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Make sure you are getting plenty of solid protein. That will keep you fuller longer. Start your day with eggs or some bacon or sausage, followed by more protein during the day. That should help. -
If you have a 10cc band it is not too much. Good luck.

HELP!! Vomiting after fill
juliegeraci replied to Sherry L.'s topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Acid reflux can only be cured by having an unfill or medication. I would go with a slight unfill. Good luck. -
I am 10 lbs from goal. I'll be banded 2 years on June 6th. I had plastic surgery on 4/21. Tummy tuck and thigh lift. I gained about 8 lbs when I was unfilled for surgery. I have lost 10 lbs since surgery. I go back in on Thursday for a slight fill. I hate being hungry!

I have no support and no-one to talk to: Surgery 18th June
juliegeraci replied to kizzie's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Thanks. I may go in in 6 months and have a revison however. He left about 2" of fat on my upper abs he didn't get with the lippo so we'll see. He told me if he was too agressive it can actually kill the skin. The tummy tuck took like 3-4 hours. Because I had so much fat he had to carterize the blood vessels when he opened me up. -
Would anyone know?? Birth Control pills !!!!
juliegeraci replied to jessbychurch's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You can take anything the size of an M&M. Your birth control pills should be fine. -

My pannus is completely gone. It was about 3 to 4 inches thick and hung down to where my pubic area was. It was totally worth it. -

My Tummy Hurts! 2 days Post Op.
juliegeraci replied to aarial02's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would ask your doctor for a pain killer or take liquid tylenol. It is manageable. -
2 days post op and more questions
juliegeraci replied to jeremiahsmommy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sorry you are having such a tough time of it. I would take some liquid Tylenol for the neck pain first of all if you don't have a pain killer from your doctor. If you are hungry you can have anything that fits through a straw including creamy soup. That was a life saver for me. -
I am sorry this happened to you. I know how you feel when you are excited then let down. The 26th will come soon. Congrats on your journey.

Trish, congrats on going through the process. I wish you all the best on your journey.

Good for you. Congrats on getting banded.

Is "stuck" immediate? or creeps up on you?
juliegeraci replied to LundyLane's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I typically PB within a minute or 2 of getting stuck. I get stuck pretty fast. -
I am saddened by this. He was just wonderful.

Up top weight loss (ladies)
juliegeraci replied to la8again's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I went from a C cup to a B after losing 105 lbs. -
When did you know that you could eat that or you could not????
juliegeraci replied to jessbychurch's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
But I have read that some people just can't tolerate some foods? What do you know you can and what you can't?? I PB if it doesnt settle with me. I am from Louisiana and we eat boiled seafood often, is that allowed? Has anyone been able to tolerate that? Yes, seafood goes down nicely since it is so soft. It is good for you. What about resturant eating? How do you know you will be able to tolerate foods that you have eaten before you band? I don't want to be in the resturant and not be able to tolerate the food I ordered? Like burrito (misspelled) torts? chips and salsa? pizza? chicken and angel hair Pasta? I just eat slowly to see if it will go down. With good restriction I just can't eat much. -
Popcorn - Does it go down for you?
juliegeraci replied to LundyLane's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Yes. My doctor said it is just like sand. -
Seeking referrals -California
juliegeraci replied to Madlovetwoyou's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Mexico is definitely less expensive but you have aftercare to think about as well. Dr. Robert McKeen at South Bay Bariatrics in San Jose is exceptional. I think he is roughly $15k. -
Hi Deeds, I have been banded 2 years and am 17 lbs from goal. Do you have any questions? Are you getting banded soon?
-
Just starting my research.........
juliegeraci replied to heidib's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It can take several fills to get to the right level of restriction. -
Haven't told my hubby :-(
juliegeraci replied to heidib's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Heidi, I would recommend you take your husband to an inforemational seminar. They cover everything there. Your surgeon should have one.
