    Cost of Fills

Joanne, keep going back for fills until you can no longer eat more than 1/4 cup of food. It took me 5 fills.

    June 2007 Bandsters

Hutersmom, way to go on your NSV! I am in a size 18 too and am thrilled. Good job!

    Countdown to goal.....

Hi Paula, may I ask what size you are in now? Just be careful and don't let the BMI stuff fool you. If you feel good and look good set your goal at 195. Don't yo yo. Just my 2 cents. Julie

    Body Fat increasing??? Huh???

That doesn't surprise me. I weighed in and lost 20 more lbs at the gym and my body fat went up. That means that I am losing lean muscle. I'm not surprised this happened to you.

The Biggest Loser - good or bad?

I love the show but yes it is a little a little bit unrealistic. Most people don't work out 3 hours a day! That is what I heard they do.

    confused--liquids

Yes, protein shakes are great. I would sip those through the day. Mine has 30 grams of protein in it.

    Jewish Food

You should be okay eating those foods. The only problem you may have might be with bagels. I can typically eat 1/4 of one.

    Desperately need help!!

When you start getting fills you will not be as hungry. You still, however, will have to make sure you don't have junk around. Junk goes down too easy! Replace those foods with high protein foods such as yogurt or frozen yogurt. You will feel full longer so hopefully that will help. Also, fruit is good. Good luck.

    afraid to eat????

YOu may gain weight after going back to solids but you have to. You can start getting fills and that will help.

Trainer thinks my cals are too low...

She is correct that if you don't get enough calories your lean muscle mass will go down. That being said, you are eating like a bandster. My trainer had me on 1200 calories a week and I did really well. Still to what your surgeon says. It will be worth it in the end.

Is 1/4 Cup Is All I Can Have??

I have hit my sweet spot and can only eat 1/3 to 1/4 cup of food.

    Making my way....

Just wait the 6 weeks and get your fill. I had to wait 6 weeks.

    Need advice

You should still be tight in the a.m. I always drink a protein shake. If you are eating 1 cup of food that is too much. Good restriction is more like 1/3 or 1/4 cup of food. Good luck.

    getting a fill!!! :)

    Mine are $200 without fluro
  17. The only scars I have are the incissions. They don't go away and are visible.
  18. He is trying to talk you out if it. You may want to change surgeons? You can't feel the band. You may feel your port. I've lost about 60 lbs and still can only feel my port if I lay down and push on it. Make sure you ask for a low profile port. That would help.

    OMG...Cheekbones!

Great NSV. Keep up the good work.
  20. I would stay on soft foods for the next 2 weeks then move to solids. It is too soon for solids.

    be honest

You can rip out your sutures so don't do it. If you are starving eat some creamy soup. You should be moving to mushies within 2 weeks. Good luck.

This is a big, hairy whine!

16 lbs is great. You shouldn't be denied.

    A Little Scared

Band surgery was really easy. The worst part was the sore throat I had from the tube down my throat.
