Hi there it me Lucky,:w00t: Iam really down in the dumps. I had my three hour concult for Aug. 5th and had to cancel. About three weekago i went for a catscan, for some mild divertiulatic and they found something else. They found Multi Fibroid Tumors. At least three are the size of a grapefruit or bigger. Iam going to have a parcial historectomy on the 25th of this month, and they have to cut me open because there big.:sneaky: So when i called Buffalo General and explained what happened and why i canceled, they said when i get back on my feet give them a call and they will set me back up with my three hr. app. Iam so disappointed i was so close. Mabey i can drop 10 lbs of tumor LOL. Well just thought i check in with ya all. Take care and keep up the wonderful jobs you all do Lucky(Kathy) PS anyone from the Arcade area in this room???

Hi Everyone its Lucky, So how is everyone doing. Can't wait for Aug. 5th going to be there at 11am for my three hour concult. So what can i expect from this visit????:frown: Also what is next after this visit?????? I know iam getting put on the south beach diet this visit. I would like any info from anybody. Also is anybody from the Arcade NY area on this fourm???? I know a couple people in the area have had it done , but i don't know who. Hi Everyone, It's me luckyclover is't been along time since i been here. Been waiting to hear from the Dr. office since Feb. when i sent my papers in. Well i went to the seminar on Thurs. the 18. I tought it was very informative. Even my husband that it was good. They said that they were going to start calling people on Friday. No phone call yet but its only sunday. I sent in all my info from my pcp and all my other specialist. Now what do i expect. What happens next? There were about fifity people or more at the seminar. If anyone was their that night just let me know and i'll introduce myself. Well sorry it's been so long. Hi All, Well i got all my paper work done and back from the pcp.:thumbup:Now i'll be mailing it out on monday, i will also call for my psych. app. Now how long does it take after they get you applacation to call you for a seminar?? Hi All You Wonderful People, Thank you NBFLGirl i will make the app this week i have fridays off until further notice, which sucks. We have had three layoffs so far. They said SH__ is going to hit the fan at work in April, so i think iam going to lose my job.:thumbup: That means no ins. So ill have to go on hubbies. Now iam have doubts about the lab band. If i should still go through with it while iam out of work???? I mean it would be a good time. Iam going to take a college course at home, iam starting vet. asssant. I got to do something , iam getting to old to do this heavy stuff and plus i have two rods and four screws and two cages in my lower back and iam not even suppose to be working were iam. Hi Everyone, Thanks Danielle for the info. Can you tell me Dr.Ron Lelite phone number? I probely won't get into my surgery date till after summer. I was hopeing before, but still waiting for the doctor to give me my info so i can send in my applacation. So depressing.:thumbup: If you don't snore but sitll feel tired all the next day do u still have to go for a sleep study. My husband tells me when he comes to bed, some times iam proped up on my elbow and he thinks iam awake and iam not, also i have woke up with my face down towards the pillow on my elbows with my head in my hands. Hi Lucky here, Its been awhile. Iam glad to see everyone is doing good:thumbup: Well i went to see my PCP about a weekago. Told him not to get mad but i was starting the prosses of the LapBand surgery. He said he was not mad , he said why would he be. So i gave him my paper work . I went yesterday after work to pick it up and it was not done yet:cursing: The assis. said he had a bad week!!!!!! He is coping all my reports from my other doctors for me too. I need to know who to go to for my pshy. examine. Does anyone have any suggestions????? So when i get the papers back form mine pcp, i'll mail them in. So how long time i get an appointment for the seminar???Well take care everyone and keep up the good work:thumbup:

Thank you Val and NBgirl, You've both been a great help. Now all i have to do is wait for my applacation to come. Iam going to see my allergy doc. in a month i'll get the report from him about my alleriges and my asmetha. I see my pcp in jan. ill get all my info from him and get copies of all my test and stuff. I seen a physc. assitins a few times but that probley won't count for the physc evalation will it???? Ive been to a gastro doc too, should i get infofrom him too??? LOL been to so many docs its crazy:tongue_smilie:I would like to get as much of the paperwork done before going to my first app. Which i don't know when that will be , waiting for applaction first. Hi everyone, Luckyclover here lol Kathy is the name. I called last friday for an applacation. How long does it take to get it to me????? I have a app with my pcp on the 8th of this month, what should i ask him for to help me out in this process?? My BMI is 39, but i have asmtha because of my weigth and depression and acid reflux , will that help me because of my BMI not being 40? I can also make an app. with a phy. doctor assincetan for my phyc. test , will they accept that??? Boy iam a bad speller lol. I live out in Delevan NY. Iam going to ask for Dr. Hoffman. I want my weight off so bad, if i don't get the lapband i don't know what i can do. Ive done Weight Watchers twice. I go to the gym now and nothing is comming off. My husband is supporting me, i haven't told my parents because, the last time i did my mom had a cow lol. Here iam 47 yrs old and iam being treated like a kid, like i don't know what iam doing. Hi, Thanks for the help everyone. I have Depression also and breathing problems from my weight. I don't think they'll let me have the surgery though. Back in 2000 i had what was called fondoplication done for my acid reflux. Now my hitial hernia is back and so is the reflux. So iam thinking iam not going to be a canadaite. I guess i have to keep my fingers crossed.:Banane20: I called last friday for my applacation, from Dr. Hoffmans office.

Hi everyone, How was everyones Christmas???? I called Dr. Hoffmans office today. I then called the number for the app. So now i just have to wait for the app right??? Then what happens??? Also how long do u stay in the hospital after the surgery??? How long before the surgery do u have to do the south beach diet???? I know alot of questions. How long do u keep seeing Dr. Hoffman after surgery???? I see it took some people long to get there app. is that because so many people what to have this done???? Hi Mrs. Krzyz, Thanks for helping me with some of my questions. Iam going to call Dr. Hoffmans tomorrow and get the ball rolling. It will probley take awhile for everything to get moving. So he puts u on a diet before surgery????? Iam nervous about this but i need to do this to get my health back. Also to feel good about myself again. Hi Everyone, It's me luckyclover4u(Kat for short] lol. I have a few questions. First i have a hital hernia will i be able to get the band??? Second if i need to lose only 70 to 80 lbs will they do it still???? Last but not least does BCBS of WNY cover it??? I really found hope reading all your messages. I know that 70 to 80 lbs don't seem like alot to some but it seems a live time to me, i have some health problems because of my weight. Ive had two back surgerys one major. My weight is not helping that out either. I told my parents about it and my mother flew off the handle. She said i guess some people just like to have surgeries. Yes i have had a few surgeries, but not because i wanted them. Iam 5'3 and just want to be healthy. I don't think i'll get support from my parents. My husband is behind me though. First will they do it if you have a high haitel hernia????? bad spelling:rolleyes: Also i have had my throat streached like three times. So i don't know if they'll even consider me. I ve been heavy for so long now. I had major back surgery in 05, now i have asmia because of my weight. I need to do this to get healthy. Also for my back.:laugh: Does anyone know if BCBS will pay for this????? If i can have this done, iam looking to see Dr. Hoffman.
