No prob!!! Hope your journey is going well. I'm going to the doctor on Friday to get all my blood work done and set the date. Im a self pay so the process should be quicker than working with Insurance (even though it would have been nice if they paid for it).

Well I am going in on Thursday to lay down 7k and then I'm financing the rest. So I suppose they are going to set me up for my evaluations and then set a date from there. Super excited, nervous and giddy!!!!

Wow I am really happy to have found this thread. I have been wanting to hear from "real" people on their experiences with TLC Edge. I already went to my initial seminar with them but I have been researching Lap Band for over two years. I will be doing a self pay because my husbands employer put a specific restriction on weight loss surgery. It took me awhile to decide to spend that amount of money on myself. For me it's a hard thing to come to grips with....$10k...On myself??? Ugh!!! Sometimes I feel selfish for even considering spending that much money. But it really boils down to getting this weight off and being a better example for my children. I welcome and ask for any advice on which doctor to choose. I had my Q&A session at the Grapevine office and the ladies there were AWESOME! The three I met all had the procedure and were looking fabulous. So now I just need to call and get this moving. But which doctor...help???

I have a few questions Im hoping someone can help me answer. How frequent do the bands slip? Im looking at having my surgery done with TLC Edge in Plano, TX....does anyone know anything about them? Is there anywhere I can see detailed ratings of specific doctors? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Christy :shades_smile:
