My name is Mandy, I am 20 years old and am getting the Lapband surgery November 12th 2012. I have a close friend who has seen amazing results and can't wait to truly change my life forever. I went to my seminar June 13th had my first consultation July 12th! I was denied by insurance after appealing and am traveling to Colorado to do self-pay with the Denver Bariatric program. I have gained a large amount of weight over the past two years due to poor habits and being diagnosed with hypothyroidism and am at about 225-230. I am both nervous and excited. I think it will be a great change for me but I am also nervous about the complete lifestyle change. Any advice or support for someone new to LBT would be greatly appreciated! I am very excited to be starting this journey.
