  2. Hi!!! Thanks for the comment. This is hard work but I am really trying to make it work. You are doing great. My eating has been crazy lately which is why I have hit a slight plateau. I have been posting what I eat on here... http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f9/share-ideas-what-did-you-eat-today-36828/ . That's a good thread and gives you some good ideas sometimes. My only wise words would be eat right, exercise and drink lots of water! :-)

     

    I have an allergan band which is filled to 7.4 ccs so far. I just got a fill yesterday that I dont think was enough because I'm not feeling it like I usually do.

     

    What are you doing so far?

  3. Hi! Thanks for the comment. Well, yes I have experienced some hair loss. However, I can't directly blame it on the surgery. I just had a baby 6 months before I got the band. My hair is known to shed horribly after having a baby. Good luck to you! Keep me posted on how it goes.

  4. Thanks kcmagu! My back is feeling much better today. I got a .3 cc fill today. I don't feel the difference in my fills until the next day so I'll see how good (or bad) it is tomorrow. B: slimfast chocolate high Protein L: Dannon blueberry yogurt s: 1 oz cheddar cheese D: 2 oz chix breast, spoonfull of rice, 1/4 cup green Beans Workout: none...still too sore to workout

  6. Hi Jeff! Congrats and welcome to bandland!! Well...here's my two cents... 1. I would think that as long as the pill is not a capsule you can crush it, however, I would call the pharmacist and ask because some pills lose their effectiveness if they are crushed. I didnt get vicodin so I don't know (i had liquid lortab). 2. my advice would be to just try liquids for now. Don't even try the cream of wheat until like the third day...try sipping throughout the day on the Protein shake if you can to help you get it in.... 4. I didn't have any indigestion at all so I would think that it shouldn't last that long. Try chewing on a Tums and see if that helps. 5. here is the site to create your weightloss ticker... Graphical Tickers and Trackers: Weight Loss, Trying To Conceive, Pregnancy... Well....that's just my opinion....I'm sure you'll get more responses with more suggestions.   7. sounds like you are a little overfilled. this has happened to me on my last two fills...you should call your dr and see if maybe they can take at least half of it out (that's what i normally do). after i do that i feel fine. it is miserable not being able too eat hardly anything. i know when i am overfilled because every thing i eat bubbles up in my throat and sits there. i know how you feel...you dont want to stop losing the weight but you might end up being dehydrated and making it worse.... hope that helps! good luck!
  8. I had a very bad day today...most likely due to the fact that i am in excrutiating pain from throwing my back out on saturday. I ate terribly all weekend and lost 4 lbs. I just grabbed the first thing I saw to eat. I probabaly gained them back today...:thumbup: B: Dannon pinapple yogurt L: small fry from checkers/rallys D: 2 chocolate chip cookies w/a cup of 2% milk s: some bbq potato chips I get another fill tomorrow so i wont be able to indulge in these types of things. workout: none...in too much pain

  10. Thanks for the comment. I am sure people will notice that you have lost 69 lbs! That is a big number!! I can't wait until I hit it! Don't stress yourself because of the time frame that it took you just reward yourself that you did it!! Try to stay focused and continue on with it. Take Care!!

  12. Yesterday: B: swiss miss no sugar added hot cocoa L: mexican restaurant: grilled chicken breast, refried beans, two fork fulls of guacamole salad D: mcdonalds grilled chicken ranch wrap, fruit and yogurt parfait s: apple dippers Workout: none I get a fill on tuesday!! YAY!!!
  13. yesterday: B: egg beaters omlette with peppers & onions, turkey bacon, 1 slice 2% cheese L: the insides of a turkey sandwich & chips, 1 chocolate chip cookie :thumbup: (free lunch at work) D:baked bbq chicken(2 wings), baked beans (spoonful), sm corn cobbette I'm trying to cut down on the snacking and see if that helps me drop some lbs....I cant WAIT for my fill next week. This time I am not getting unfilled no matter how miserable I am.

  16. Once again I have no weight loss to report. I am so disgusted. I guess I am going to have to starve to break this plateau because exercising and drinking water is not working.

    Great job! How did you do it! I have set a goal for myself to lose 100 in 8 months! I need all the tips I can get! :-)
  23. Yesterday: B: Special K cereal and skim milk ( PB ) L: mini turkey and cheese sandwich and sun chips D:chili 1 cup Workout: none...had to work overtime
  24. I have been a little discouraged since I have been trying to lose 3 lbs for the last two weeks and they won't come off. I don't think I am eating too crazy. I am drinking water and exercising so I dont know what the problem is...:drool: Yesterday: B: Slim Fast Low Carb Shake s:100 calorie pack peanut butter crackers and a strawbery peach smoothie from planet smoothie (about 8oz of it) L: Had Japanese Hibachi - some chicken, veggies, and a couple shrimp...didn't touch the rice! yay me! s:100 calorie cinnamon struesel coffe cakes D: couple of boiled cubed potates some green beans and a little piece of flank steak. ok...that was a little out of control yesterday but that's because I was depressed. I really need to control this emotional eating...I though I had it under control but obviously not. Workout: walked for an hour and 10 mins elliptical
