AAHHHH! It's not working!! I'm using the BBcode. And doing the control c, then control v. It's not working!! And I tried Kat's suggestion but I don't know how to erase on the ticker website. I feel so inadequate..I didn't think I was that dumb!! Help!!!
-
Thanks Tricia!! I turned it around. Control c first!! Got it. Duh... Thanks a lot!!
-
Thanks Kat!! I'll give it a try right now!!

I can't wait to get a fill so I can feel the dramatic restriction too!! I feel some restriction, but not as much as I want to. Congrats to you!!

OK, I finally got a ticker on my signature page and and that's all good. Now how the heck do I change the # of pounds that I lost on it? I went to the ticker website, changed the pounds on it, highlighted that address, pressed control v, went back to by signature page, highlighted that address, and pressed control c. I thought I did everything right but it's not working! Help.

My baby is a 2003 Land Rover Freelander HSE (no pic). Even though it is 3 years old, it is the funnest SUV I've ever driven. And I get a lot of compliments on it too.

I can feel my port all the time. And it hurts on a regular basis. But I'm hoping it's just post op. type pain. The doc placed it right under a big scar from an exploratory surgery I had a long time ago so I'm thinking that maybe all the scar tissue is irritating the port. Oh well. No pain, no gain!

I have put Ritz crackers in my chicken broth and it tasted really good when all you've had is popcicles and jello! I have also braved wheat bread which goes down fine. But rice kills me!! Weird huh? Those little pieces of rice makes me want to throw up ( which I know is a no no) and really hurts in a weird way. I haven't had a fill yet. It will be mid May. I can't wait!!!

Poll: What did you do after your Band removal?
Kelly_B replied to fabfatgrl's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I'm so sorry you all are having such problems. May I ask a question? Why did you have your band removed? Were there problems with it? I just had the band put in last week and I'm reading all this stuff and I'm getting scared that I' m going to mess up the band or not eat right or who knows what else. -
You go Poodles!! You're really gun ho and you'll do great!! I drank Slimfast Optima (15 grams of protein), ate Cream of Wheat right off the bat, and sucked down a lot of sugar free Popsicles and Jello. Now I'm eating mashed taters, puddings, and other mushy stuff and I more satisfied and stay full for a longggg time. I had my surgery in San Antonio and the doc didn't suture my incisions, he glued them...with Dermabond. Great stuff! No bandages and no pulling out sutures. All I did was peel the stuff off as it started to flake off. Man, the stuff they come up with!! Good luck Poodles!!

Newly banded got some questions...
Kelly_B replied to Quik_Silver1982's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I was banded on the 20Th of April and from the day I was banded to now I'm always very hungry! Which is just the opposite of the way it used to be before the banding. In the prebanding days I was not very hungry throughout the day (but that didn't stop me from eating! That's why I'm so big now) and now the post banding days is that my stomach growls so much all day long that it can be rather embarrassing. And it's getting really old being so hungry all the time. This goes to show you that everyone's experience is just a little different. -
I'm in the medical field as well so I understand that one needs to heal before the solid food is started. But I thinks it's pretty well known that some people heal faster than others. I really think Strawarts' doctor has the right idea. I think that the amount of time depends on the person and the individuals doctor should guide them on whether they can eat more solid food post-operatively quicker than the week or two that all patients are told. I was SO hungry about a week after the surgery and all the jello in China was not going to help that, so I started eating foods considered to be solid (as long as I chewed a lot) and I felt no pain and had much more energy.
