Well I was going to get a fill at the beginning of Jan and chickened out! I have been down and upset that I dont have the guts to deal with a little poke. Then I pop in here to catch on reading to get all pumped back up for my fill this thrusday & I seen scary stories of over fills & poked ports! How aften do these things really happen? I am getting the flro done so does that better my chances of it not happening? I am going to NW fill managment and they have never seen me before and I have NO records at all. Don't know my size ether. Ugh! I can't let myself talk myself out of it again!

yeah it woulod be kinda hard for him to help me being he's passed on now. Thanks though.

turns out I am one of the stories! My port is not fliped but up on edge and they could not fix. They said I have to find a dr. and he will cut it open and then fix it. They said in the states it will runs me a few grand. No fill for me, and now I have a band I can't use! :ohmy: What upsets me the most is I wasn't told any of the risks like this before I got the band. I was told about band slipage after the fact and was told it was extreamly rare.

I am so flipping freaked of needle that the old sang, I would do the shot for my kids if I could...does NOT apply to me, lol. My kids are wayyyyy braver then me. Sad huh. The excitment of getting my fill is now gone and replaced with FEAR! I just think of it and my stomach turns and gets in knots. I dont know if I can do this. It's been years! My family is pushing me but I have lost my big girl panties and can seem to get them on. I need the fill so I can start the long jorney to loosing all my weight..again. I am so scared! I hope I dont talk myself out of it.

I havn't gotten it done yet because of the passes being bad we had to cancele. I need to call and get a new appt.

ok gonna mark your words on that lol. I know if I can get myself into the car then I will mkae myself. Because if my dad is going to drive almost 300 miles in the snow for me, then I will have to follow through, because he'll kill me lol.

How could you let this happen? Well gosh hun you have been through heck!!! :sad: Any NORMAL person would stumble! Be a little easier on your self! I am so very sorry for your loose. I am sure your life is no where near back to norm and wont be for awhile, so you may stumble again, so be prepared. Just start were you left off for your diet and go get your fill. They will be understanding :smile2: & IF they are not ... find another dr.!! You know I gained ALL my weight back in a matter of 3 yrs! :ohmy: For a number of reasons but now I am faced with having to go get a fill after 5 yrs of having one. plus start all over. YOU can do this! 20 pounds, is better the 86, 50, ot 100 or more. It could be wrose. Look at it as the glass 1/2 full..right!? Take care of yourself and your family. 1 question- I still do that and i have nothing in my band and have been banded 5-6 yrs now. I hate the feeling it is weird feeling lol. 2 question. It's been years and it wasn't really planed out for me. Sorry I can't help. I didnt read the replies but I am sure you'll find plenty of people to share!!! Everyone is so friendly and helpfull!

thanks susan, yes pink eye sucks lol. However my son looked at me this morning and said mom you look normal now lol :wink2: I think tracking and keeping up with fun little tools will in some way help this be a little funner. I havn't check it out yet, i was just checking in here before we go sledding we got a foot last night and that hardly ever happens anymore here. Rock this question is NOT for you... OK so I seen the realize band on TV, I have never looked into it because I already have a band from 2001, so the RB has a site but is there other website programs to help track progress, ect... like the RB site? If so are they free sites?

Maybe. He said in one of his statements that he has had dozens of people thank him for helping them but yet he has no buddies...humm...weird. :tongue_smilie: It is just a pain to be able to just chat with people with having him right behind you bashing what you said.

Hummm... that is weird. my sister didnt have the lapband done but she had the bypass done and she went to Dr. Hopp there. He might be able to give you lapband Dr. info.

Oh I have in the past went to my Dr. and he had me go to PT which does water walking. He did scans and found nothing. I carry most of my weight on my lower part of my tummy so it pulls. But thanks for your info! If I dont run then I can jog or walk fast lol. :laugh:

I have the LAP BAND not the RB but I do know that my LB didn't have a nice little support program! That would be nice. :biggrin:

weight watchers has great dishes and they teast good! no weird diet teast! Here is one them family LOVES! :biggrin: 1 - 6oz Gramcracker pie crust 1 - 4oz sugar free lime jello 1/4 boiling water 2 - 6oz key lime light yoguart (Yoplait is what we use) 1 - 8oz Fat free cool whip Disolve Jello in Boiling water stir in Yoguart, then cool whip. Pour in pie crust & chill until set. Serves 8
