  1. hey, thanks for the compliment/encouraging comment. How are you doing? and congrats on your 100lb mark. Thats GREAT!

  2. Time will definitely fly by. It will be a great start for the new year. Let me know how it all goes. Good luck!

  3. Its okay. Thats what the new year is for! The last I checked when I went for my visit was 32lbs. They were shocked.

You know my surgeon said the same thing. lol My BMI is high though, so he said I could do it. Oh! and those pics are from the very end of last year after my diet when I was about 50lbs lighter. So I have a few more pounds to go, but I pretty much look the same. I think my height makes it look deceiving. oh well. lol

  4. Cool! I was suppose to wait another week for solids, but I couldn't take it. lol so I've been eating somewhat soft regular foods, and I'm feeling fine. I dont see my doc until mid-January for my fill. I'm really ready for it, because I want to be restricted, like full off of 4oz like they promised. haha

  5. thanks for the comment. how are you doing?

  6. I'm doing good. Just going through my post-op stages. That sucks you have to get your port replaced. hopefully its nothing serious. Good luck on Monday. How are you doing besides that?

    1st. 100lbs off

Wow thats great! When did you first get banded? Before I was banded, the year before I lost 100lbs from just me dieting and exercising. After I lost my gym membership, I slowly put back on all the weight plus more. So I went through what your worst nightmare currently is. However, I think with the lapband it helps control weight so much more, because if you do feel like you are gaining or feeling hungry, they can always tighten it. Thats just how I see it.
  11. Hey! We went to the same symposium with Dr. Martin on the 18th of October.

  12. I was not put on a pre-op liquid diet until the day before surgery. However, I do eat the sugar free chocolate pudding. In my 2nd week post-op I used it as a snack to hold me off between meals. If you are use to eating things that are fat-free, or sugar free, then the pudding should not be a problem to eat.
  13. Hello All, I am 23yr old male from California who was recently banded on December 10, 2008. Only my bestfriend knows about my Lap-Band surgery, so I dont really have anyone to talk to or anyone that could actually relate to my situation, so I searched the net for a good place I could communicate with others who are in my same situation. I have struggled with my weight for about 10 years , ever since my grandmother passed. I have gone up and down in my wieght. At one point I lost 109 lbs in my junior year, only to gain them all back by my college graduation. After seeing my graduation pictures, and comparing them to my high school graduation pictures. I realized I could no longer go through life the way I was. So here I am a 18 months later, recently banded, ready for change and a new life! :frown: So... thats my story. Hopefully, through this site I can meet some new people and hear some encouraging success stories. Until next time... Tru_Talent
  14. Hey, I'm Devo and must say its glad to hear there are some people in my same boat. I've recently graduated with a Degree in Finance, but a good majority of my friends are still in college or just out of college. So I'm still surrounded by that typical "college" life. I was banded on 12/5/2008, no one besides one of my best friend knows I was banded, so its getting pretty difficult trying to pass up going to Hollywood or going out for a bite to eat, with out them suspecting something or giving me a hard time. I'm just hoping these next 5 weeks go by quicker. haha Anyway, how does alcohol affect us now that we have a band? Is it much easier to get drunk now? Okay. Someone let me know. LATE!
