My Doc will have me on clear liquids for a week after surgery, too. I have bought 12 boxes of Sugarfree Jello!!! hee hee! I'm sure I will have to get some chicken broth for some protein, too. Did your Doc. fill the band when it was placed? Mine does it at the follow-up appt.

Hey Gang, I am on a 2 week liquid diet- the last 2 days will be Clear liquids. I don't think I have ever done anything so difficult! I also picked the worst time of year- all the goodies being brought into work!! BUT! I am so thankful to have been approved by my insurance company.. there are so many who are denied! And I think about them and how blessed I am to be getting my band... then I choke down another Protein shake and go find something else to do. I also think about how much easier it will be when my band is in place- I want this so much I refuse to sabotage myself! :laugh: Good luck and I wish everyone on the dreaded liquid Increased Willpower! ~Steph:thumbup:

Hi there, I am on day 3 of my "All Liquid" diet- my nutritionist said if I feel weak (yes) I can trade a nasty Slim-Fast for a small portioned meal. I just had a 1 cup serving of spaghetti and meat sauce and I couldn't finish it! But it was nice to CHEW!!!! Good luck! ~Steph

My doc has me on Slim-Fast (ack) only for 12 days pre-op, then clear liquids for 2 days. It is so hard for me to lose, I was dieting like a madwoman to lose the 10 lbs he wanted me to lose, but I GAINED almost a pound, while being a good little dieter!! So frustrating! I can't wait for my band! :smile2: Good Luck!

To make mashed cauliflower you just steam the hell out of it, add cream and butter- maybe a little cheese and smash them up- salt and pepper- YUM!!!!

Hi Natalie, I am getting nervous, too! Mostly about the anesthesia. My current weight is 257 and I want to get down to 165 or so. I can't imagine myself TOO skinny :thumbup: I have been heavy so long, and I don't want to lose my boobs! HAHA! Man, you are having your final stuff done early- I just had mine a few days ago. Dr. I. puts you on slim-fast only 2 wees before if you do not hit your pre-surgery weight loss goal, let's just say, I didn't! I dieted my head off, and I gained a pound. Story of my life! I am very excited for this new beginning and look forward to being able to keep up with my kid! It will be great to have a pal who lives pretty close and even has the same Doc! Hello to all and Happy Holidays! This year I have to wait til a few days after Christmas for my gift- I am getting banded on Dec. 30th and I am very excited- and scared, of course.
