  1. Happy 45th Birthday Lisadawnh35!

  2. Happy 44th Birthday Lisadawnh35!

  3. :crying: I had my 2nd fill in February with great restriction! Last week I had another fill. Now I have NO restriction!!!!! What could have happened????
  4. I was banded December 23, 2008. Flew to New York from Florida at the end of April. Had no problems ast all!!!!
  5. I took liquid tylenol (over the counter). Didn't really need it though. The only pain I had was gas pain.
  6. I do not weigh myself at all!!! I wait until my monthly appointment with my doctor. And I always tell myself that I will be thrilled if I have lost 4 pounds in 1 month :mad2:
  7. My doctor prefers that I eat high protein, low carbs. However, I am a carb junkie and if I don't allow myself to eat what I want, it would do me in. Since I have had the band I am more conscious of how much I eat, but not so much of what I eat. I do not have a sweet tooth. I eat pizza about once a week and pasta maybe a little more. I have to take very small bites and chew, chew, chew. Before the band I could eat 2 big plates of spaghetti. Now I can only eat about 1 cup. I can only eat about 1 slice of pizza (or 1/2 slice depending on size) when before being banded I could eat almost a whole pizza. Being banded has been the BEST THING I ever did for myself!!!!!
  8. Hi! I was banded on December 23rd. Best decision I ever made about my weight loss. I can't believe how EASY it is!!!!!! I have had 2 fills (not sure how much the fills are though). I can't eat anything in the morning and I usually only eat 2 meals a day (about a cup at each meal). What I find interesting though is that I can still eat a whole bag of popcorn!
  9. Has anyone ever had band slippage from PBing????
  10. I had my second fiil on February 26. Felt restricted right away. NOW....I am feeling much more restricted. I am able to eat solid food (if chewed to mush). However, I can feel the restriction when I drink liquids. Sometimes it feels like even water gets stuck!!! This happens mostly in the morning. Afternoon and evenings are better. Any suggestions or anyone else have this happen? I just had about 1 cup of cottage cheese and was able to eat it fine, but definitely feel the restriction.
  11. I am a liitle nervous. I had my second fill last Thursday. I can definietly feel the restriction (even when I drink something I can feel it). I have had more vomiting recently, but I know it is because I am not chewing well enough. Any suggestions?????
  12. I am having my first fill on Thursday! I definitely need it! Over the past week I have been able to eat A LOT more than before then. What can I expect with the first fill????
  13. So I had my surgery on December 23rd. This is the BEST thing I have ever done for myself! Had my 2 week post-op checkup yesterday......have lost 22 pounds (this includes the 2 week pre-op liquid diet)!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe how GOOD I feel!!!!!!!! The first week after surgery was awful.....but now I know it was worth it! WOO-HOO!!!!!!
  14. Anyone having or have had surgery performed by Dr. Rehnke? I am scheduled for banding on the 23rd and have some questions I would like answered by patients. Such as, did you follow the pre-op diet exactly? How did the surgery go?
  15. I am having surgery on the 23rd. Started the liquid diet a week ago last tuesday (dec 9). Have not been following it 100%. I follw it during the day and sometimes eat dinner at night. NOW I am worried that I won't be banded! I can tell that I have lost weight, though. Dr. Rehnke in St. Petersburg is doing my surgery. I hope it goes through!!!!!!
