OH! And by the way...I have a treadmill, an elliptical, a full range weight machine (in the garage...its BIG), a set of resistance bands with all the attachments, and this machine called LEG MAGIC. I also have a pool. All that said, for any of you who may not have researched the effectiveness of different forms of excercise, the BEST forms for me are swimming (696 calories burned per hour), biking (801 calories burned per hour) and elliptical (648 calories burned per hour). Jogging is 668 and running is 763, but I have no ability nor any INCLINATION for either! LOL Average walking burns 286. So I am getting rid of my treadmill...I hate it anyhow...BORING. I'm also getting rid of my weight machine because I'm getting a great toning workout from my resistance bands. Then there is my LEG MAGIC machine...that is the best money I ever spent! If you want your thighs and butt toned up and in shape, this is the ONLY way to go! I'm also selling my elliptical, because I go to the city recreation center most of the time and work out there on their ellipticals, which are much more advanced. (A lot of cities around here have recreation centers. My city only charges $10 a year and they have everything a fancy gym has, and more!) So I'm listing most of my equipment for sale this week and reclaiming all that space! Hooray! Sorry to be so lengthy, but I was really surprised when I started analyzing this and thought it might be helpful for others to know where to get the most bang for your excercising buck. Of course there are many other things to do, also.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH! I am excercising more than I ever have in my life! LOL I am determined to be under 200 by the end of the month, but I'm beginning to doubt that I will make it. GRRR! Wow...how can you lose your fill? Where does it go? And what is omnipac? I'm calling in the morning to schedule a third fill, so this omnipac thing might be something I should know about!

GOOD FOR YOU, MM! That is an amazing distance! You are so much faster than I am! I don't think I could even BEGIN to keep up with you! Question: You went riding on the streets? How was it? Are your streets asphalt? (As opposed to brick or concrete, whatever...) I ask because our streets here are asphalt, and with the heat what it is, the asphalt just magnifies it horribly! So I haven't tried that yet. But I guess as fast as you go, you get quite a good breeze going! YOU ROCK!

Monthly Total = 1080 Minutes 60 Minutes Elliptical this morning 60 Minutes on my bike this evening I like to have never gotten on the bike tonight, as I am exhausted! I'm almost finished with my current project house and am trying to get it ready to list for sale on Monday afternoon. So many little things added up to ten hours today, and it's not finished. Plus, with the heat at 102 and the heat index at 109...it was miserable outside. I'm glad most of my work was inside, but I'm still exhausted. It was all I could do to ride for an hour! Uh-oh...I'm whining. I hate whiners! All that said above, it really was a good, productive day. I hope everyone is having a glorious Saturday!

It's true that things get stuck when the food is drier. Tiny sips of water definitely helps. Down another two pounds! Good for you! Don't you love it! You are doing awesome!

Yes, this is since the day of surgery. I only had three days notice about my surgery, so no time for a pre-op diet at all. I'd like it if it were faster, though! Everyone wants the weight off faster, right? Glad to hear that your fill is doing well for you. As long as you are comfortable and can get through the stuck moments, you'll do great! Right now I'm working towards my mini-goal of getting below 200 by August 31. My weight seems to fluctuate wildly here in the last two weeks, though. Very frustrating, as it can fluctuate almost 3 pounds in one day sometimes. And I'm using a digital scale, for crying out loud! Who knows. I think I am going to schedule a fill, knowing that if I don't chew well and wait between bites that I will be very sorry. Discipline. Anyone got any to spare? :help:

I'm getting "stuck" moments...not frequently, but two or three times a week. I don't know if it is because I'm not chewing right, or if it is because I have restriction. Again, I always feel it in my chest. Sometimes I PB, but it's pretty rare. Most times, it passes after an agonizing 5-15 minutes. The reason for my question is that I would gladly go get another fill, but unsure about the signals my body is giving me now. Currently, I have 4cc's in my 10cc small AP band. Any thoughts?

I am so sorry to hear about your terrible experience! I'm glad you were able to find a doc who knew how to fix you up. How much was in your band before you went up to 7cc's?

    Third Fill - tight

I didn't realize it was this week...not a bad idea. I'm rather in the same place you are as far as how you feel, except that I'm not ready for that third fill yet. Is the meeting always in Dallas? I thought sometimes it was in Hurst at Airport Freeway and Precinct Line in the hotel behind the police station? Or was that only the seminars? I have no idea! Let me know where it is?

lo2us - YES! I use my-calorie-counter.com religiously! I subscribed for the premium membership...it's not much...can't recall the price, though. There is a free version, as well where you can log all your foods. They have great forums, you can create your own blog, and make friends.

As active as you have gotten here in recent months, I bet you could handle it now. You amaze me with your level of activity! I definitely experienced some discomfort, though not my butt. Let's just say I'm going to buy a pair of bike shorts with the gel pads to wear under my shorts! (Nuff said.) I have a question for ya...what can you do about your hands going to sleep? It was cutting off the circulation to my hands by leaning on the handlebars for so long. Very bothersome. I'm going to see if raising my handlebars doesn't resolve both issues by sitting more upright.

Monthly Total = 330 Minutes I took my bike to the park today. There are miles and miles of concrete trails through the forest along the Trinity River...beautiful and lots of wildlife to see. I rode 13 miles and it took me two and a half hours. I'm slow, but steady! LOL And there are markers along the way to stop and read about the different animals that are prevalent in the area. It was fun!

Is it Taco Day? LOL I must be doing better with my fill, because I had tacos for dinner, too. I had two of them, and they were GOOD! I made them with ground turkey...they were better than beef! I still have to go very slow, but I was able to eat them! HOORAY!
