Monthly Total = 1785 Minutes 70 minutes weight lifting 25 minutes recumbent bike hill trainer ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hey, MM! You beat your goal already! Way to go! Can't wait to see what your goal is for October!

Thank you very much! :omg: Yet you know not what you say...they are my worst spot! I'm hoping the weights will get them toned up and get rid of the dimples (ick). It IS working, though...they say you can't get rid of fat cells, only shrink them...but it's working, thank goodness.

I see. How's that Lipo 6 working out for you? I just started (today) a cycle of Advantra-Z that I am hoping will push my workouts over the top and rev my metabolism. My weight is not dropping very much, but my body fat is dropping like crazy. I lift weights and do cardio six days a week, alternating the weights between upper and lower body, but I do various ab work and crunches every day...and I ride my bike about 30 miles three times a week. I was going to start with a personal trainer next week, but I cancelled that today because I've gotten very comfortable with the weight room and just don't feel it is necessary. Man, I can't believe you have not had a fill yet! That is amazing. I go for my fourth on Monday. If memory serves me correctly, though...I have less than 3cc in my band...but I really don't recall and will have to ask on Monday. Good luck to you and keep us posted!

You are doing AWESOME! You obviously have the "moxy" to master your weight and keep it off. I would be willing to bet that if you "just do it" (donate your clothing)...I bet it would be a very freeing experience for you, and you deserve that! On another note...WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING TO REALIZE SUCH PHENOMENAL SUCCESS, GIRL?!?!? I would love to know your daily routines, excercise, food log, what kind of band and how much fill you've had. I am just coming off of a very long plateau (thank goodness), but my weight loss has really slowed down. I need your secret! LOL (Anyone who "gets" this picture is AWESOME, too! :car:)

OMG! I just realized you are at 200! How exciting! You will be (or maybe you already are) in ONE-derland for good! I'm so jealous!

I know what you mean. I could not survive my workouts without mine. It's my workout "Calgon"...it "takes me away"! Before I know it, my cardio is over with.

OMG! I can't believe I forgot to share this! I DID *240* CRUNCHES TODAY! WOO-HOO! The gym has a roman chair (I just learned that term today LOL) and it allows you to do crunches without killing your neck and lower back on the floor and you can do them from the front, back and each side. I did three sets of twenty in each of the four ways. SO PROUD OF MYSELF!

But yes, I am kicking some ass, all right! MY OWN! I need to if I'm going to get serious about breaking this plateau (which I have, but I want to make sure I keep the momentum). My family is completely freaked out that I am doing all this. In fact, I'm absolutely ADDICTED to the gym. When there is a day that I can't go for whatever reason, I am NOT HAPPY. I feel so good after I work out.

He works offshore in the oil industry. He works six weeks on, three weeks off. It is hard with him gone sometimes...but we have SKYPE (internet telephone) and of course Yahoo! Messenger with voice, so we talk every day even though he is on a boat way out in the Gulf of Mexico. Also, we've been together since high school and he is retired Navy, so this is a piece of cake compared to that! He was on carriers, so six weeks gone is a lot better than six months gone like he would do in the military. And it is so nice for him to be off for three solid weeks every month and a half. We get to play a lot! Next trip home we are off to Vegas for eight days with excursions booked every day...we are going to need a vacation from our vacation when that one is over!

OMG! My mom is the world's worst about getting film developed. (Don't even ask why she won't use the digital camera I gave her for Christmas last year!) Anyhow, she did finally get some film developed from June. She brought pics over today and in them were pics of me just hours before surgery. Wow, was I ever BIG! I didn't even realize back then. I think the "before" pics I posted were accurate, but I sure was "put together" a lot better than I was just before surgery. But then, who gets dolled up to have surgery, huh? Wow, the pics are really bad. Then there are pics of me outside the surgery center, leaving for home less than an hour after waking up in post-op. That pic is a reall winner...LOL. I'll have to post those sometime when I get the nerve! Just thought I'd share...Take care all!

Hello, Java! Hello, everybody! I wanted to stop in and give a "shout out" to my bandster buddies. I miss being here so much like I was, but I'm having such a good time while hubby is home! In the meantime...

Weight Challenge: Labor Day to Thanksgiving
TexasFire replied to huntersmom's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Dare I say it?!?!? The scale is finally starting to move in the right direction as of today. The weight lifting is helping, I believe. I'm hoping to post a good change at the end of next week. Here is to lots of sweat and lots of prayer! -

Well the scale is STILL stuck. In fact, it went up a tad before settling right back where it was before. I'm pretty disgusted with the whole thing right now, but I'm still trudging through. My efforts have GOT to pay off sooner or later. I don't start with my trainer until the 24th, so I'll just keep trying on my own until then. I doubt very seriously if I will even come close to my goal, but I refuse to change it and am still trying for it. (I told y'all I was stubborn, right? LOL) I'm looking forward to this Saturday! The largest wine festival in the South is in Grapevine, Texas this weekend, which is about 15 minutes from home. I think it is going to be wonderful! We are taking an antique train from the Fort Worth Stockyards into Grapevine and spend the day. I will have a "cheat day" that day. I won't have time to go to the gym, and I'm going to eat whatever my heart desires! (And that my band will allow, of course!) I saw my trainer at the gym and she said to try "shocking the body" by going completely off my regimen for a day. I'll let y'all know just how bad it gets! LOL -

Someone had mentioned a while back that pineapple juice will help get you "un-stuck", but I had never tried it. Well, I got stuck so bad today that I felt like I was dying and it was never going to end. Then I remembered the pineapple juice comment. I immediately ran to the pantry...thank goodness my kids would eat pineapple at dinner every day! I popped open a can of pineapple chunks and took a sip straight from the can LOL...scared to death because usually if I drink ANYTHING while stuck, it just complicates matters. IT WORKED! In less than a minute I began to feel better! I was taking the smallest of sips, and it worked! BLESS YOU, whoever posted that a while back! I bought a half gallon of pineapple juice to keep in the fridge just for this!
