I hate these ugly Thanksgiving tickers...I wanna make my Christmas ticker NOW! Oh well...it is what it is.
-
WHOS - Oh, I assumed they were whole eggs...just jealous, I guess! I didn't know they came in flavors. Cool! Oh, and by the way, your kitchen at work is evil! This morning is even worse than yesterday. My thighs, calves, butt are in excruciating pain from the calf workout and the leg press two days ago. God, please someone tell me there is a magic pill for this so I can go buy it!

I'm focused on crunches and weight lifting at the gym. And I'm getting in about 135 miles a week on my bike.

(I'm darn near CRIPPLED from yesterdays' leg workout!)

WHOA! Secret Santa? I LOVE Secret Santa's! How did I miss that? Can the "new kids" play? If so, count me in!
-
HP - Thank you, ma'am! Glad to hear you went and got those jeans...you're right, you'll be in them in a snap! About work, sounds bad...don't tell me you work in HR?!?!? (I used to be an HR Director and my mind is envisioning all sorts of horrors right now!)

Oh YEAH, baby! LOL

Wow, y'all are doing so well! I can't wait until the 15th when I measure again. Today was two and a half hours at the gym. 240 crunches then a full leg workout. Good lord...I read it, it's true...as a beginner, you are supposed to be able to leg press your own body weight, plus or minus 15%, to start off! So last week when I was dying with 130 pounds was I guess WUSS TIME. Today I did 180 pounds...turning red, grunting, huffing and puffing! I must've been a sight! But I did it! Six sets of twelve reps with feet together and six sets of twelve reps with feet apart...that last one hurts. Then on to all the other leg excercises we do. This should be good for my cycling, though, which I need...I'm s-l-o-w!

Yes, husbands DO rock!
-
D - Too funny! Throw it away! Or better yet, crumble it into the toilet and flush! Git it outta there, girl! J - That is positively THE most disgusting band story to date. TWICE! I could almost PB with you! Nasty! On the other note, I want to live in Reeses Hell, too! My most favorite candy that I will allow myselft once a month. Tomorrow being Halloween, is my day! YEA! ALL - You know me by now...I gotta share! My anniversary is Thursday, but hubby won't be home till Friday. Me gets a call from Bob, my LBS manager. "Mrs. Stanphill? I just want to wish you a very Happy Anniversary!" "Um...thank you, Bob?" (How the hell does HE know!) "Your husband called and made arrangements for your new bike and a full set-up." WTF?!?!? I'm so excited! I got my lovely 2008 Specialized Dolce road bike, Specialized road shoes, Speedplay Light Action pedals (got 'em, B!), a new helmet, Specialized multi-lens glasses, and an extra set of cleats and cleat covers! WOO-HOO! I love my honey!
-
WHOS - OH YUCK! That works for me, too! I have no more desire for brownies! No, no roses! LOL I'm warped, but not insane! It's for you you AND mm. Don't ask me why, just felt moved to do it. I do weird stuff sometimes. (THERE is the understatement for 2007!)
-
WHOS - Turns out my darling son gave the old MP3 to a friend of his, so you got a surprise coming your way tomorrow. Let me know when you get it.
-
HEY! I gotta share, guys! I went out to my truck for I don't remember what now, and my Pomeranian came with me. Turns out the two little mutts across the street were out, too...BAD. All three dogs TOOK OFF! I CAN RUN! Oh My Fucking God I CAN RUN! I can't believe it! It didn't even bother my bad knee! I am so tickled with myself that I can't stand it! Six months ago that would have been such an impossibility!
-
Hey, guys! Good going today! Angel, haven't met you yet...you did good making up for lost time! Today was a good day. It's always a good day when you can feel that "good pain" from your workout! I love it! I did 300 crunches...100 regular and 100 each side for obliques. The did calf raises for about 20 minutes till my partner got there. He was a little late again, so we only had about an hour and a half on chest. Tonight, I go outside to get something out of my truck and my Pomeranian comes with me. The little dogs across the street were out at the same time...BAD. All three dogs TOOK OFF! Now I know my fat arse can RUN! Didn't even phase my bad knee! Fifty pounds ago that would have been an impossibility. My kids of course just think it's another time when Mom acts like a geek because I'm so happy I could run. Ah, the good life! LOL

JM - Isn't that AMAZING to realize you lost inches when the scale never budged! That's so great for you! Now you KNOW you are doing good with your trainer! And yes, the snorkel is the icing on the cake! You're so right! WHOS - The kitchen picture...that was just WRONG! Now I want a brownie, and I'm not even ever that crazy about them! Oh, your crazy lady just gets better and better! That's funny about your daughter, but just goes to prove the nut was a nut! I wish you HAD had your camera phone! You be careful going to the Y that early! We don't want Bambi "taking you out"! Dibaby - Congrats on losing another size! You will be in the regular section in no time! I haven't been there long, and remember the first time I got into regular size clothes...I shouted "WOO HOO" in the dressing room and embarrassed the heck out of my daughter! I have the same problem with my feet going to sleep on the elliptical, drives me crazy! I would do a lot more of it if it weren't for that!
-
Oh I needed that belly laugh! The mental picture you give is so funny! All she lacked was flippers! LOL
-
ZZ - No, I see a BIG difference! You look so much younger, too! Losing weight really takes the aging out of your face!
-
LOL I bet it is! I might try that on Club Crackers! What made you think to put the pepperoni in the microwave?!?!?
-
Good for you, JM! I'm so glad you feel better and that you are sticking with it!

Yesterday (SAT) I didn't work out...shame on me. I feel awful about it, but things just didn't work out. So today I did my dumbell workout at home. I worked legs and calves. My partner doesn't do calves because he doesn't need it, but I DO! So this was a good thing. I did lunges, squats and calf raises for an hour. I've decided that I REALLY want an adjustable bench and a Roman Chair at home. Time to go surf for them and see what kind of deals I can find.

Okay, good! On Friday, I told myself I was going to do crunches until my partner got there. OMG He was late! I thought he would never get there! I did 360 of them! My grampa was with me at the gym that day and told him, "Good, you're here. I think she is stuck on that thing." (I use the Roman Chair to do my crunches so I don't kill my back and can do Oblique Crunches, as well.) Then we did two hours on shoulders. I still can't believe how many different excercises there are to isolate one muscle group at a time. I'm so thankful for my partner! Yesterday my Mom and I were on my back patio having coffee when she asks me where my butt went! LOL I always had a bubble butt, even when I was thin, but not now! Now it's "normal"...I love it! (I still have my hips, which I am thankful for. I have never been a girly-girl, but have always been very feminine, and I want to keep it that way.) Then I tell her to feel my arms, and she about fell out. I'm not "squishy" anymore! She thinks my biceps are almost too big, but I don't. It's only when I flex them that they look that big, anyhow, and it's not like I go through my day flexing! My mom has always been the thinnest of us three girls. My sis had gastric bypass in 2005 and is tiny now. Now I have the lapband. Unfortunately, my mom is at the highest weight in her life, as well, so I am about to drop below her and it is freaking her out. I wish she would go to the gym with me, but she uses the same old line about no time. I told her she makes time for what she wants, but then she gets mad. Oh well, she will do something about it when she is ready. She's only 60, so she can do it!

Hey, ZZ...where are those pics you were gonna post yesterday?
-
OMG! The site's back up! YIPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! I was going nuts yesterday...thank goodness ZZ called me to chat! Thanks, ZZ...you rock! I hated to go, but the kiddos and all the dog hair on the floor that needed sweeping were calling my name! LOL Yall have had a chatty morning, I see. BG, go get those clothes! I feel the same as you...that I must have the biggest 16's on the planet, but we know it's not true. Reward yourself! You deserve it! HP, umm...a resounding YES! So it's not just me! Went to stay with hubby in Houston last weekend while he's on shore for a bit and I thought we were going to bring the house down! It's AWESOME, isn't it? Although it was a little embarrassing because our almost 16 year old son was in the living room on his laptop and when we walked outside to smoke a cig, he says "God yall...keep it down in there, would ya?" He thinks he is so grown up and funny, I could have smacked him! (It was funny, though.) Congrats on the new clothes! I bet they look great! ZZ, corn maze sounds fun! Wish I knew of one around here so my son and I could go. We would have a ball in there! J, I can't see ever going back, either. It is an impossibility for me. My daughter just showed me some pictures from May at her graduation party here at the house. WOW! I didn't realize how far I had come. I was a heffer. YUCK...I can't believe hubby and kiddos tell me I didn't need this surgery. Happy Sunday, y'all!

No, you should start losing better again. Like I said, I went through the very same thing and I am back to losing well now, "knock on wood". It started back up just as abruptly as it stopped, so have faith. It is VERY frustrating, I know. I had set a goal of being under 200 by August 31st, which should have been doable, but I didn't make it until last week or so. (I'm so tired right now that I can't recall!) It sounds like you are doing all the right things, and you should only be able to add just so much muscle, and the fat burning will continue. That is when the scale will start moving again. You will be skinny-gorgeous for your wedding! Don't worry! Just don't get so addicted to weight-lifting like me...I probably won't be physically able to make my goal of 145 if I keep adding muscle...I have the larger frame to be able to add it. If you do, too, then know your limits, but don't stop altogether...it's good for you for a million reasons. As for my current teeth-grinder, I had set another mini-goal of being at 175 by my big Vegas vacation. That is in ten days, and obviously by my ticker, you can see there is no hope again. Oh well, I'm just happy that I am losing again. And you will be, too!
