Oh My Dog, You Did It! You are in ONE-derland! How AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! I'm a broken record, I know...BUT "DO THE HAPPY DANCE"!
-
Oh my dog, D! 20 degree wind chills! Makes my teeth chatter just THINKING about it! Where does everyone here live anyhow? I don't think I ever knew?
-
(But I must admit that I love the sound of it and really want to know what that's about! It sounds like something I would really wear out!)

Thanks for the laugh, J! Isn't it strange how it's okay to be called a bitch and laugh about it on this thread! LOL It's okay...I heart you/think you are a bitch, too! Seriously, I'm so sorry you can't ride because of the weather! In all honesty, it's pretty darn cold here, at least for Texas. (It was 40 day before yesterday.) I put on my cycling tights, baklava (sp? not the icky desert!), gloves, jacket...and just go for it! My gym partner thinks I'm nuts, but I LOVE IT!

By the way, I'm gonna brag a bit here! Speaking of "nice guys"....I married my high school sweetheart, who is a fantastic combination of "bad boy" and "sugary sweet guy"! (Just to give you a clue into this, he was the "favorite" in school, football quarterback, best at everything and worst of all he KNEW it...yet the first time I laid eyes on him on December 3, 1983 he was playing "Mother May I" with the elementary kids at school! What a doll!) He is definitely a "bad boy" at heart...a true redneck...SO NOT LIKE ME! LOL But with me he is the sugary sweet guy who would climb mountains and cross deserts for me! He's still amazing to me after all these years! :kiss2::kiss2::kiss2: I LOVE HIM! :kiss2::kiss2::kiss2: (Okay, brag over...)
-
I believe that you are one of the nice guys still! But anyone who rides a sweet bike like that can provide spark! LOL Besides, MM strikes me a a firey one (in a great way, just an impression) so I'm sure you're more than "nice" to catch her!

Hey, O2B! And EVERYONE, for that matter! If you haven't seen this, it is a good little bit of confimation on our understanding of the band/fill process. I hadn't seen it before and thought it was a good share if y'all haven't seen it, either. http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f73/how-lap-band-actually-works-fills-refills-45563/#post630148

Hey, peeps! I'm so far behind in reading this forum that I will NEVER catch up! So I'm saying "HI" and picking up from here. How's everybody doing? Anybody still riding? It seems everyone here is in the freaking COLD except me and B! I'm up to a little over 60 miles a couple times a week now. All the traveling lately has put a crimp in the frequency, though. I'm not going to push the training any further than that...I figure if I can do 60, then I should be able to do the 75 or so for two days in May for the MS150. I just can't give my training and workouts any more time, or I'll end up divorced! LOL I hope everyone is doing well and being good because Santa is coming to town, right? :clap2:

That is my understanding, as well, O2B. I don't recall how much fill I have...I think 5.3 or somewhere in that neighborhood. I can not imagine getting another fill anytime soon, if ever. I'm very restricted. If I eat slowly, take small bites and chew, chew, chew...I have a CHANCE of not getting stuck. It really takes a lot of attention, which I don't always give it, thus why I get stuck so often! LOL We will see how I feel when I get to 165...that's my "evaluation" point to see if my goal of 145 is going to be realistic. I'm beginning to think it won't be doable since I am already in a size 14 Levi's. I think I'm too tall am adding too much muscle to ever see 145. But that is STILL my goal until my body proves it unwise!

I know how you feel, Dibaby. I've dated guys (though LONG ago!) that I WISHED I could "get into" because they were so nice, but it just didn't work. And, if you are like me, those are the ones that fall hard for you, making it even harder to dump them. Don't be too hard on yourself, though...nice is only part of the package...you need "spark", too. You deserve that!

2 hour leg workout at the gym today. I got the leg press up to 270! WOO-HOO! And I know I could have done more, just not as many reps most likely. I'd love to eventually catch up to my partner, but that is a LONG way off with him doing 540 already! (I am WAY too competitive! LOL)
-
Hello, everybody! Here's wishing you all a wonderful week! 240 crunches, three sets of "kickbacks" on the cables (I don't know what they are really called, but they sure are great for the butt!) for each leg before my training buddy got there. Then we did one hell of a chest workout for two and a half hours. God, it felt good! Tomorrow is leg day...gonna try and push the leg press up to 280 this time, if it doesn't kill me!

Hi, guys! I'm back from my trip to Houston since Wednesday! Missed y'all again! I didn't do a flippin' thing while I was gone and I'm ready to hit the gym hard tomorrow if my chest cold doesn't keep me in. I don't know if I'm going out of town again this weekend or not...depends if my mechanic can fix the heater in my truck this week or not. I will NOT drive in the cold like I did this evening...I was a complete POPSICLE! I am determined to continue losing weight through the holiday season! Lord, please help me to be strong! LOL I think I'm going to step up my cycling (even if it's on the recumbent at the gym) to help me stave off the holiday feeding frenzy!

I really dig you crazy people and this insane thread. Just wanted to say that!
-
EWWW...had a roommate decades ago that had those. GROSS! Bitch had the nerve to ask me to put her medicine on once. She didn't make that mistake twice.
-
I'm rooting for you, too, bigbaby! You can do it! Yeah, Suzzie, I may have to get one of those bugs...still considering. Hello to everyone else! I'm glad to be back and thank you to all for the nice comments about my slide show! I'm such a picture nerd...I just love them, and love putting those slide shows together!
-
I hear y'all about the housework...ugh. I think there is enough dog hair on the floor to make another entire dog! (Note to self: shave dogs bald.) 28 mile bike ride, 2.5 hrs weight lifting (chest and shoulders)

Bananas always work for me. With me, its a potassium deficiency that KILLS my legs after my long rides on Saturdays or "leg day" at the gym on Tuesdays. Bananas, bananas, and more bananas. (I've tried to find potassium tablets without luck so far.)
-
ROFLMAO I love you, ZZ!!! LOL
-
I don't like any combination of Thanksgiving ticker I come up with...so I'm on to Christmas early!
-
Uh oh, J! Please don't tell me that you ride without a multitool and tire levers! If so, you must have your cell phone in there to call for help! :help: :biggrin1:
-
Thanks HP and J! I forgot you could go to my old slide shows, as well. I kind of grimace when I look at the old pics, but life was good whether I was big or small, so it's all good!

Thank you! Yes, we did have a phenomenal time out there! So much so that we actually went house hunting in Henderson one day, as well! We'll see how that pans out. Yes, it did go fast, but we were glad to get home, too. We were TIRED! LOL The eating was really odd...I don't know if it was the elevation change, or what, but I could hardly eat a thing out there. Everything got stuck immediately, with the exception of bananas and I was able to eat salmon the night we went to the formal dinner, thank goodness. I didn't get to work out as much as I'd like...hubby kept saying it was time to take a break. But I did get up to the gym at our casino twice...so gorgeous. Over 1000 feet above the city with the Black Mountains beyond that, with the weight equipment outdoors next to a sparkling pool...what more could an excercise addict ask for? LOL Yes, we did TONS of walking...I should have taken my pedometer!
-
Aw, shucks! LOL Thank you, folks! Hubby is good with a camera! LOL
