WHOS - Hey, no guilt! Not allowed! You work out a lot and you have to do what is right for you and your schedule. How boring would life be if we all droned through life doing the same as everyone else? JESS - I was, but couldn't stand the taste of it. It was like taking cough syrup every day...puke. Need to find it in capsule form or unflavored powder to add into my "gym juice" along with the creatine and glutamine powder. I haven't really looked, I must confess. I'm sure they have it at The Vitamin Shoppe. I'm going there today to pick up their latest magazine, so I'll letcha know. It's supposed to be really good in the fat loss department. So is glutamine, but l.carnitine is supposed to be better. Hey congrats on the losing inches! Yeah, when I first started working out a lot, I was SO DISAPPOINTED in the slow or no weight loss. Then I took my measurements, and realized I was doing a LOT of good. Keep up the good work!

Wow...so I'm really not alone in this! Hilarious! Hubby still refers to that night during our vacation in 96!
-
I know, J! It's awful! Yeah, I don't have experience in the blacking out (from crazy amounts of tequilla) and having crazy sex, either! LOL
-
The Jif thingies sound great for biking, you are right! MMMM....Italliannies....need to go there soon....been a while. Yes, I'm still amazed at our small world!

Okay, here's a whacked story for y'all...I've been having MAJOR trouble sleeping lately, so I took an Ambien last night. Waited an hour, and it wasn't working, so I took another...which I had never done before. The next thing I know, I am waking up in bed this morning when my son comes in for me to take him to school. I feel pretty darn good, though, from the good sleep I got. I'm driving home from the school when I realize I have no clue how I got from sitting in the living room to bed. Apparently, I went to 7-11 with hubby last night on an errand and got a pint of Bluebell Buttered Pecan ice cream. Then I proceeded to eat the entire pint before crashing in the recliner. Hubby got me to bed, thank goodness. He says he doesn't think I even knew who he was last night. Pretty scary. I won't be taking two Ambien again, for sure. And how much does it suck to eat an entire pint of ice cream and have no memory of it?!?!?

OMG I have a major confession, too. I've been having MAJOR trouble sleeping the last couple days, so I took an Ambien last night. (Guess casein doesn't ALWAYS work, huh?) Waited an hour, and it wasn't working, so I took another...which I had never done before. The next thing I know, I am waking up in bed this morning when my son comes in for me to take him to school. I edited the very first post on this thread to include the link to the spreadsheet so it will be easy for everyone to find.

What are Jif "hockey pucks"?

The Chinese Five Spice powder I found at a Farmers/Whole Foods market. The Boca and Morning Star products are carried at Costco, also. (I'm a HUGE Costco fan, in case y'all hadn't noticed!) For breakfast I ate fruit and whole grain toast with peanut butter that I made myself. (VERY fast to make in the Bullet or mini food processor...I'm no gourmet, trust me!) A lot of folks had oatmeal for breakfast, but I despise oatmeal. They even ate the flavored packets of oatmeal, as long as it was prepared with water. And don't forget you can have any whole grains, brown rice, seeds/nuts, and beans/legumes.

My church does The Daniel Fast every year. I felt great when I did it last year, my first time. The hardest thing for me was to give up Starbucks...well, coffee all together was rough. I should have stuck with it! To add pizzazz to stir fry, you can use Chinese Five Spice powder, Braggs Seasoning spray, low sodium soy or worchestershire sauces, finely grated ginger/garlic/onion. You are right in that the prepared sauces are not good for you...all the sodium and sugar is enough to drop a horse! Good luck!

Sounds good!

Oh, I thought your ticker was for end of April. Just let me know how many minutes of cardio and resistance you want in a week, girlie! I know you do a lot more than 150 each in a week, anyhow! What with your personal trainer, your spin classes, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera!
-
JM - 5000 divided by 17 weeks between the beginning of the year to the end of April is 294, so what say I put you down for 300? I know you do both cardio and resistance, so how do you want to divide that up? I'll just split it 150/150 for now till you give the word.

The goals I posted to the spreadsheet are to lose 30 pounds by March 30th by eating right for me and my band and also committed to 600 minutes per week for cardio and 600 minutes per week for weight training/bodybuilding. I foresee no problems at all with the eating right, cardio and bodybuilding goals. I only foresee a possible problem with my body not losing the 30 pounds that I will be commanding it to lose! We will see how viscious I can be with this goal!

Thanx, BabyGrl! I need to know what our actual end date will be. I put March 31st just to have a date there. I think we should end it on the most wonderful day of the year...April 24th. (Sound familiar, Suzzzie and BabyGrl? LOL) That's my birthday, of course! Seriously...do we want to end it on the last Sunday of the end of the first quarter, March 30th? We can start a new one to get summer bodies after that!
-
AH! Gotcha! Yeah, but I kinda like that your mouth has little to no filter!
-
Who's GF? (Making at least ten characters so this will post...jeez.)
-
I broke down and updated my ticker since I gained and haven't gotten it back off. Damn it!

Okay, I "THINK" I got everyone into the spreadsheet. If I missed someone, please forgive me and remind me so I can add them.

Here is the spreadsheet. I need to add everyone in still and get everyones' goals. You will need a free Google account to view, but it only takes a second to get started if you don't have one. If you need an invitation to get an account, let me know your email address and I will send you one. http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=pdgDInAagx9z-xy8VoCZ8Bw

That is fine with me. We can keep it all here...I will keep up with everyones' posts and put up the spreadsheet on Mondays after the week ends on Sundays. Not everyone counts calories, so that won't work...but I was thinking total minutes excercised and weight. I'm going to put together a "test" spreadsheet and post it so yall will know what I have in mind. Please let me know if yall want anything changed!
