That's a good one, J! If they are still in town, you have GOT to go see "The Rat Pack Is Back!" When I went two months ago, we saw a TON of shows, and that one was the BEST! (Even over Elton John, Zumanity and Penn & Teller!)

I wish my gym had resistance classes. I've never heard of them at all. Of course, I really need more cardio and have NO PROBLEM getting in the resistance. That's why I signed up for two spin classes...I need the help in that department if I'm gonna make that bike tour in May. I hope you feel good and sore tomorrow, so those muscles will GROW! LOL (The key word is good...it's a good soreness after a hella workout like you had today!)

JM - You are correct on the book. That is great that you actually have experienced the theory working back when you worked out with your boyfriend! I haven't read too awful far into the book just yet, so I can't speak intelligently about what it says yet...but the whole premise is heavy weight and fewer reps. What I HAVE gotten to so far is pretty cool on the calorie and protein recommendations and how to calculate your needs based on your current weight, and also what to look for in results to be able to tweak those intakes properly. I'm rather fearful of the amount of calories it is recommending...it's a LOT. But I do have many symptoms pointing towards not eating enough, so I will give it a shot for a bit and see how it goes. I will be much further into the book before my head hits the pillow tonight, so I will try to come on and give an update.

Biceps and triceps again today. I know we just did them on Friday, but we only had an hour today, so that was the most logical choice. I went really heavy for me, and loved it! My arms are getting bigger, for sure...I love it! I really had to push myself to do that much weight, but it sure felt good!

Well, obviously my errands didn't take very long, because I am back here....my home away from home this place is! I go to the gym in about an hour...I can't wait...I'm changing up my workouts starting today to lift really heavy with fewer reps. I bought a book last night called "New Rules of Lifting for Women: Lift Like a Man, Look Like a Goddess" and it is AWESOME! It vehemently states that if you want to transform your shape, you MUST lift! I already know this to be true, as my body has changed so much since I started lifting in October/November. It is truly amazing! Ladies, you have GOT to get this book! Or at least go to the book store and look at it yourself to see if this couldn't be true for you as well.

Yes, 38! I love it! I bike along Trinity Boulevard behind Bell Helicopter from Ft. Worth to Arlington, and up Greenbelt to River Legacy Park where there are over 15 miles of concrete trails with no vehicle traffic going through the woods. It's a gorgeous park! B - I ordered Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Casein Slow-Acting Protein, Aminogen Enhanced. I got the Banana Cream and Chocolate Supreme. I just put 8 oz. of skim milk in the Magic Bullet with a heaping scoop of the Banana Cream and ten ice cubes. It's pretty darn good! I'm not experiencing any aftertaste, no grittiness, and it is very creamy. The only complaint I would have is that it's a tad sweet, so I will probably throw a tablespoon of natural peanut butter in for the future to see if that doesn't cut the sweetness down. I can't wait to try the Chocolate Supreme tomorrow night!
