Nope. I think B described them best when he dubbed them "lollipops". Here's a link to the info for the ones B and I have...Light Action Chrome-Moly: SPEEDPLAY : HIGH PERFORMANCE PEDALS But the same info sheets are available for all their models. The great thing on this site is you can compare pedals, whether you want to compare two Speedplay models or if you want to compare your Speedplay of choice against another maker. (I compared the Light Actions against the Ultegra.)

I got a Specialized Dolce...she's awesome!

I sure DID post the incorrect link to the spreadsheet before...SORRY! Try this: http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=pdgDInAagx9z-xy8VoCZ8Bw Send me your stats, folks! I don't know about y'all, but I had a heck of a week, and it really paid off! The only downside is that my shoulder is really, truly out of whack. I hope and pray it heals QUICK so I can get back to the weights, but I think I am OUT for the entire week. This is gonna kill me! Well, not the WHOLE week...I can still do leg day and ab work!
-
Oh! And the Speedplays get better all the time! I can't imagine being without them now. I HIGHLY recommend them if you are thinking clipless! P.S. Insomnia, anyone? ARGH!
-
By the way, folks...I must say that I am COMPLETELY at peace about choosing this bike! The comfort level on this girl is amazing compared to my hybrid. Now if I could only figure out how to get aerobars on there. I would have to give up my auxillary brakes on the center post, but I don't use them, so that's not an issue. I wonder how or if it could be re-done? Sounds like I have a valid reason to visit my LBS, huh? (For safety reasons, I think I'll leave the credit cards at home! I can't walk in there without spending! It's a candy store! LOL)

Hmm...good question! I don't know if I just got "lucky" or if this was typical, but all the offices that I considered handled that process for you with a quick turnaround. (My coverage was verified with BCBS in one day!) If they found out my insurance would cover it, they would handle the approval process, as well. It can be a bumpy road sometimes, going through approval process...but they should make it relatively painless for you. (Aside from the grueling waiting, of course! Nothing can make that go away!) Good luck! It's a great tool!

It sounds like you are doing all the right things. This is the beginning of your journey, when you are changing all those negative eating habits. It helped me to load up on the jello and eat at will. I didn't have time to do the pre-op diet because I went from approval to surgery in less than five days, so I lost like you in my first week after surgery. I think initially it is a lot of water weight, and you should be fine. Always, if you are still concerned, please talk to your doc. Good luck in your journey! I am eight months out and LOVE my band! And even right after surgery, during recuperation, I knew it was a good thing. You will do great!

I hear you did quite the run today, WHOS! 10K! Good going! That is nothing short of AMAZING! I know I've said it a million times, but I wish I would finally just get off my tucas and start that stuff! It would be awesome to do a tri...but until I can run, that is out. You are awesome, WHOS! However, I set a new high on my girl today! I went 68 miles on my bike! Unlike some of you poor northerners, it was GORGEOUS here today! I feel so great about the ride, you have no idea! My legs did great, but my neather-regions were screaming on the last part. I must say that my new road bike was worth every penny....the comfort level is amazing! Now I have complete confidence that I made the right choice when I bought this bike. What a fantastic day!
-
J, gotcha! I don't blame you...I wouldn't give that up, either! Good for you, mama! ZZ - I didn't know you were moving to Texas! Hey, Houston is only a couple hours drive away! (Well, four...but still not too bad!) I am going to start looking for a midway point for us to meet and ride! How cool! I can't wait! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The weather was so amazing here today! I put on my bike gear and threw my bike in the back of the truck and set a new high...68 miles! I loved it! My legs were great, but the neather-regions were screaming during the last part of the ride. It was so great to get my girl out on the road...it's been nothing but trainer lately. I barely made it back to the truck before it got completely dark. Even though I have a light, I just don't want to be out there at night.
-
Thank you, Wombat! What a nice compliment! Yes, it was absolutely AMAZING weather here today, wasn't it? I got out on my bike and set a new high...68 miles! My legs did great, but my neather-regions <sp?> were screaming on the last part! I barely made it back to my truck in time for dark. I have a light, but just don't want to be out there at night, you know? I feel fantastic after the ride, actually. I hope everyone had an equally amazing Sunday!

Very cool find! Thanx, C! (HA! You're right about the bra sizes! I guess I'm a C all around! LOL)

I changed my user name, guys and dolls!
-
Yes, I changed my user name, guys and dolls! Wow, J...I think I'll keep our brutal heat instead of your rain and hills for 25 miles. What do you mean its a "kiddie weekend"? Doesn't sound kiddie to me! Where did those guidelines come from? I'd never heard of those, and it makes me want to improve my "grade"! LOL I'm currently a C, also with the same goal of 17mph average.

I changed my user name, guys and dolls!

Somehow I think I would rather ride in your HHH than ours! LOL But I'll extend the invitation anyhow: Anyone care to ride their bike for 100 miles... ...in one day... ...in the Texas heat... ...in AUGUST?!?!? LOL If I recall correctly, I think B did this ride several times in the past! Is this correct, B? If I end up doing it this year, it will be my first. We will see how the riding goes through the summer and I will likely decide at the last minute!

AMEN, KAREY! AMEN! WONDERFULLY SAID!

That's a precious story! I wish I could go back in time to when my kids were that young! (Or at least fast forward out of the teens...someone's got to have mercy on me! LOL) Oh! I figured out that you thought that was me that sent that footrub! But it was your other Texas fillie! You cheater, you! LOL After I figured out what you were talking about, I DID send you a goodie on your Sparkpeople page, though! Just remember that I loved you FIRST!

What Jess said is good, but I'm a little surprised because she really seems to enjoy it! (You DO, Jess! LOL) I don't know, maybe I'm just freakin' nuts, but I am totally addicted to working out at the gym. I don't recall when or how I got over being self-conscious at the gym...I just know that it didn't take very long after I ventured out of the cardio room and was introduced to weight lifting. I am completely in love with lifting. I just picked up the latest copy of "Muscle & Body" from The Vitamin Shoppe, and there is an article in there that is really good. The best part, though, is this quote: "I had to fall in love with the sweat equity of exercise. It's not about how you look when you're working out, it's about pain --- you've got to fall in love with that pain. If you do, it's not a mater of IF, but WHEN the results come in." I think this is SO TRUE. I just made myself go every single day (completely hating it by the way) and I think I was hooked and loving it by the end of the second week. Of course, back then I was only hitting the cardio room, but do whatever you can push yourself to do every day until you get those endorphins going and you love it, too!

That is exactly what I think of when I flex in the mirror! (From the movie "Anchorman" I think it was called...with Will Ferrell?) I know...how stupid that I flex in the mirror...but I bet everyone does it when they start getting muscles...they just don't admit it because they will sound like an idiot! And we've established that I am fluent in "idiot", so there ya go! LOL Yeah, I'm getting some serious "guns" and want more! I'm just a little bit concerned about how hubby is going to react when he comes home this time...I haven't seen him since the beginning of January and have made significant gains. He does not want me all muscle-bound! Okay, sorry for writing a book. I guess the "old me" is back on LBT, huh? You poor guys! LOL --- Thank Goodness!!!!!!! Thank you so much! O i nearly forgot, Thanks for the footrub lady  HUH? :confused2: __________________

BCRAZY - Yeah, my MIL was banded about 20 years ago. Lost a ton of weight...she ate around it...gained it all back over the years. Now got re-banded about a year and a half ago. (Still before the AP band, though.) She's not doing as well this time. Not sure what the difference might be, other than age? Dunno. But yeah, they've been banding folks for a long time now. If I hadn't of known her, though, I never would have known about the band before, either...it just wasn't as prevalent. Suze - Glad to hear "pups" is home and on the mend! Keep us posted! And about your guy reading your blog....you know I love you and how I feel on that subject, but jeez! Does he need a dumptruck load of bricks to fall on him? Because I AM a tough Texas chickie who "knows people" and can have that arranged, you know! :tongue2: (JUST KIDDING! )

My goodness, BG! You look simply AMAZING! Awesome! Keep it up, girlie! And LOVE the t-shirt, by the way! JC - Thanx for the congrats earlier on my quitting smoking! And you will be in my thoughts tomorrow when you go to see the doc...I'll be wishing you good news! J - So sorry you had to run in the cold today! But then I'm proud of you for doing it, too! ZZ - Miss talking to you, girlfriend! B - Haven't forgotten my Texas connection! We will get together sooner rather than later, I promise! TURLER (Are you "T"? Help me out, J!) - Nice to see you so active in here! Looking forward to seeing a lot more of you here! D - Where are you? HP - "Heh, heh, heh" (evil laugh) on the chickens...I couldn't resist! Your new bike is getting closer and closer, huh? I'm so excited for you! I know I missed some folks, but just know I will make it up to y'all later! So look out! LOL TO ALL - MISS Y'ALL! And I'm BACK! Things are settling in with the homeschooling and I am going to be back here more again, thank goodness!

Welcome Arde07! Send me your stats in a PM and I will add you to the spreadsheet. You too, Kevin! That is IF y'all want to be added! If so, send me your current weight, goal weight for the end of March, cardio/interval weekly goal minutes and resistance weekly goal minutes. Then send me your totals on Sundays and we will see how we all end up at the end of March! The spreadsheet will be MUCH easier to read next week after I take everyone out that I haven't heard from. (But then again, I wouldn't mind a BIT if everyone jumped back in and were participating!) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Today I went to the gym (of course...lol) for an hour and a half on biceps and triceps. Right now I stink to high heaven from all the Icy Hot I've put on my left shoulder...pulled a tricep REAL good. I really hope it's just a "crick" or something. (Yes, that's official Texas vocabulary!) If it really is a pulled muscle or tendon, then I won't be able to lift much for a couple weeks...and that would KILL me! I had another breakthrough workout today, though! Concentration curls with 35 pound dumbbells! Oh yeah! Six sets of twelve, too! I'm a fantastically sore puppy! After my weight lifting workout, I rode the recumbent bike for 25 minutes. I really LOVE that hill trainer plus program, but it makes me work way to hard. My goal is to stay in the fat burning zone, so the hills are out. The bike has a bunch of different programs to choose from, and one of them is "fat burning zone", so I did that one. It kept my heart rate in the right place, but I missed the hills kicking my fanny! It was an easy ride...too easy. :tongue2: But as long as it does what it is supposed to, I'll be happy. I'm at 26.1% body fat currently, and my goal is 23%...so I have a ways to go. (My original goal was 20%, but I found out below 23% is "underfat" for women. Hmmm...go figure!) Okay, sorry for writing a book. I guess the "old me" is back on LBT, huh? You poor guys! :tt2: LOL

KEVIN - Good for you on the running! And WELCOME! Here is the link to the spreadsheet again: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pdgDInAagx9z-xy8VoCZ8Bw&hl=en Next week I will be cleaning up the spreadsheet of those who have dropped off. I'm not going to do it yet because I've been so slack on it in the last two weeks. PM me your info if you need updating (or wish to be added), as I have entered all info I have received to date. I'm still going to the gym every day for 1.5 to 2 hours for weight lifting. Going to the cardio room three days a week, also, to ride the recumbent bike for 25 minutes each time. Got on my trainer this morning, though, for about an hour...which felt GREAT! If it is nice this Saturday, I'm taking my bike out to the park and out to Arlington. I need to get in a good, long training ride of about 60 miles. The MS150 will be here before I know it and I need to be in shape if I'm going to make 150 miles in two days!

My prayers are with you in losing your grampa. I can't imagine what I will do when I lose mine. I agree that it is likely the stress that is tightening you up, so take it easy on yourself. You, too, Suze...I hope pup is up and running cirlcles soon. I know all too well that our furry friends are very much members of our families.
-
LOL guys! (And Suze!) Yeah, its no surprise to yall that I go a little overboard on the researching! Hey...at least I don't just put stuff (supplements) in my mouth blindly, right? Besides, I'm a knowledge FREAK, reading FREAK...and always will be. What can I say? I'm a NERD.
