I love Stevie Ray Vaughn...playin' "The House Is Rockin'" now. My favorite line is "We got room on the floor...come on baby, shake sumpin' loose". I'm gonna be shakin' SOMETHIN' loose tonight! LOL

Thanx on the workout, but ALL of us here rock the gyms! No, not a football nut, but hubby is a MAJOR Cowboys fan! I'm glad you got to that game last year, because unless you already have tickets, you won't go to another one for a couple years. Jerry Jones pre-sold every stinkin' seat to every game through 2010, I think it is. All for the new stadium...which is GORGEOUS, by the way! Of course, you know there ARE ways to get tickets, but you might have to arrest yourself afterwards! LOL

Okay, there are a few DFW folks on here. I know who you are, so don't make me call you out! LOL I'm starting a cycling group to ride together a couple times a month...the more the better, actually. Here's a link to the thread, which still isn't seeing enough traffic, but these things take time. http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f81/dallas-ft-worth-bicycling-52850/ ANYWHO! I know a few folks on here who should come join us! I want to meet y'all and it would be fun! And if you are thinking, "Oh hell no, I'm not getting on a bike!" Then you are thinking all wrong! It is low impact and is one the VERY best exercises you can get! Come on, folks! I have a couple extra bikes that are brand new that I don't ride. If yours needs a tune up, we can do it together...I've got the tools, and what I don't have I will get! The trails are great!

I thought it was quite clear that a "ride" was included. But yeah, bring your bikes, too.

HA! I love you guys! I'm glad you're in, B! Now you can't move! BigBaby - YES YOU CAN! I have a bike you can ride if you like, too! It's a hybrid, but it's brand-spankin' new! Come with us! Suze - Always the goofball! I wish you lived here NOW instead of waiting till next year to get here so we could ride together!

JM - I miss you! Poke your pretty little head in here once in a while between dress fittings, would you? Hope all is going well for you! DADDY - Okay...what's YOUR excuse? You don't have oodles of wedding dress fittings to see to! LOL P.S. Yes, insomnia strikes yet again.

Why, yes they do! And apparently all that isn't illegal in Texas anymore! (According to the story J posted for me! LOL) Party at my house! Bring your own bananas and spatulas.

OMG! I JUST posted on the exercise thread that I want to get certified as a personal trainer and I come here and see this! That is so ODD! Maybe I should REALLY do it!

Okay...I don't know what is freaking UP with my GOOGLE, but I have updated that dang spreadsheet three times in the last week, and it just refuses to publish! When I look at it, all the info is there. But when I go out and come back in to view as a guest, it's not updated. ARGH! I sent a message to GOOGLE to see if they can figure out what I'm doing wrong. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Now on to the good stuff! LOL Two full hours at the gym today, on chest. Ooo-Ooo-Ooo! It feels so good to be back in there! My gym traded in our old faithful chest press for a new, different model. I DON'T LIKE IT! The old one was an incline bench with adustable seat...the arms were adjustable for height (I loved making it so you had to pick up the weight all the way from bottom...good stretch!) which made it harder (good thing). The new one is a flat bench that I feel too tall for (I'm almost 5'11") and when I used it today, I felt it in my biceps and shoulders...not my chest at all. GRRR! I hope I get used to it...well, I have no choice, I suppose. I wish they would have ADDED instead of REPLACED though. Okay, "whine" over...I hate whiners! LOL So my workout today: six sets of 12 on the new bench press, six sets of 12 dumbbell chest presses with 35 pounders (hoo-aw!), six sets of 12 chest flyes, six sets of 12 cable chest flyes and then topped all that off with four sets of 60 crunches on the roman chair holding 30 pounds of weight against my chest! I'm still babying myself on some exercises, like the chest flyes, since my shoulder/tricep comes more into play and I DO NOT WANT TO BE OUT OF THE GAME AGAIN! LOL So I'll take those parts slow to make sure I don't injure it again. I learned my lesson! If I can get myself in the shape I want to be in, I think I want to get certified to be a trainer so I can have an excuse to be in the gym all day, every day!

No, you are right...I have no shame when it comes to lifting. (I will post more on that next, though!) That made me laugh when you said your arms and legs would fall off! Then I thought that about myself when it comes to the elliptical! Funny...that used to be my fave, now I don't go near it. How exciting on your NSV's! But with all the gear you guys can load onto a belt, that has to be a pain in the tucas, too! I'm sure you are only too happy to comply, though! I'm proud of you! Congrats! Oh, Karey! That is so great! I was praying for that! Now when will they be sentenced? You are starting to finally get some closure around this, which has GOT to be a relief.

    Has anyone taken up Bycyling?

I agree with you 1000%!!! More than you know. I don't get my panties in a wad over much in this world...much less someone saying "shit". Good grief. But other people DO get offended, and I respect that. I don't understand it...but I respect it. I was in retail executive management for too long to not know how to play the PC game. I'm not PC, but I can "play" PC. People just want to know they've been heard, is all. I like it here because you can say whatever you want and no one gets offended because we are ALL non-PC...kind of how I like to live my REAL life....as a sarcastic, non-pc, body-building, bycyling bitch who's really a softie who loves everybody as long as they USE THEIR BRAINS and are not WHINERS. (My two pet-peaves)

    Has anyone taken up Bycyling?

HA! Maybe so. But whatever it is that attracts folks to this thread, it works. We are all a crazy bunch who fit pretty well. I see a lot of folks getting offended on this board now. They obviously haven't seen this thread or they would have freakin' IMPLODED from reading it! Some people are offended if you say "shit" on here, some aren't offended when discussing sodomy, accidental or otherwise! LOL Thank goodness this is a crazy, varied world where everyone is different...it would be so boring if it weren't. I love it here! (On this thread, that is!)

Ceradad - Great workout! You put me to SHAME! But "Non Lifting Days"?!?!?!?!? What the heck is THAT? LOL I don't like those days! I need to bump up my cardio, though...you ROCK in that department! Jess - Sorry to hear about your fill taking so long to get in! I was worried I would face the same thing, but I will be going next Tuesday, thank goodness! Come here and we will get you in! LOL

    Has anyone taken up Bycyling?

I keep waiting to be asked why I'm not "fixing" you folks! But I figure as long as the thread is self-contained and no one is complaining...have at it! Besides, this thread is so good for giving me belly-chuckles and scaring the hell out of my dogs when I do it, breaking the silence in the house!

I think at a minimum I would get new tires and tubes (cheap), get everything oiled up real good, have your gears and brakes checked. Sounds like your brakes should be in good working order, though. For tires, the thinner the better...easier to ride on. As far as knowing how far I go, I have a bike GPS...I'm a gadget freak, though! Drive your route in your car to see how far it is. DO NOT WEAR YOGA PANTS! Do not wear anything that could get caught in your gears. If they are capri style, okay. Yes, I am religious about wearing a helmet...even if I just toodle around my neighborhood. Don't worry about distance to start with. Go for at least 30 minutes. If you can, go for at least an hour. Be consistent with that for a couple weeks and then up the ante by 15 to 30 minutes. If you can do this at least three days a week, working up to five days a week....you are doing fantastic! But listen to your body, and always push just beyond your comfort level. You will make progress by leaps and bounds before you know it!

You know that song by ZZ Top, "Sharp Dressed Man"? I'm gonna do a remake for you called "Short Bus Man"! LOL The Alcoholics Anonymous thing was a joke, but apparently a bad one! LOL Thanx for the hottie comment! I feel like I belong now! (How pathetic am I? LOL) Nite, all...now I am REALLY going to bed!

SUZZZIE - QUICK! Tell me what you know about Byetta? Real life stuff...not what the docs spout from the pharm reps. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Went back to the gym today. One hour on biceps and triceps. YES! I DID THE HAPPY DANCE! I WAS ABLE TO DO MY WORKOUT WITH MY LEFT TRICEP NOT HURTING EVEN ONCE! WOO-HOO, BABY! Of course, I took it easy...just to make sure it was okay and would have quit if the slightest twinge came, but it didn't! I'M BACK, BABY!
