    RealizeBand Patients

I have the realize band also and was banded in July 09. I am now up to 8 ccs and have not lost more than 3 lbs. I am so disappointed.
  2. Congratulations! Losing weight and looking sexy always seems to create a pregnancy. The same thing happened to me four years ago (but wasn't on the band). Glad to know that you are able to conceive and still have a normal pregnancy after banding. :o)

    Help needed in Illinois

I am going to my last appointment with Dr. Nagle on April 15th. He told me that after the last appointment it should take two weeks to get the surgery approved. Hopefully I will be having my surgery in May. You can call Dr. Nagle's office and make a reservation for a weight loss surgery seminar. You can do a search for Northwestern Bariatric and find more info. The number is: Weight Loss Surgery Program (312) 695-7070

    Help needed in Illinois

Dr. Alexander Nagle at Northwestern University Hospital take Medicaid. I have went to the seminar and met with Dr. Nagle and the nutritionist last week. Meet with the psychiatrist next week. The Dr. says that I should be approved by April. Supposedly, Medicaid processes their paperwork quicker than other insurances.
  6. Hello everyone, I am attending a seminar about the lapband surgery next week at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Does anyone have any info to share about their program. Thanks:smile:
  7. Gosh!! I know you are really excited! If you don't mind me asking, are you a cash paying customer or is your insurance paying for it? Reason being, it seems that most people who paid for their own surgery had their surgery done immediately. I am going through insurance and I know it's probably going to be about 6 months before my surgery. Also, do you know which band they will be using? I just received information about the Realize band and they have a great online support site. I'm sure that one probably isn't covered by insurance. Keep me posted. Congratulations and Good Luck!:huh2:
