  1. samathazzz - me too even my husband said I need to see a doctor. I don't have much hair to begin with, so I am really scared. It just started happening about a month ago though. I am going to try adding another shake to see if it will help. Thanks again, Anissa
  2. I have a major problem with constipation. I know since I eat less Fiber that is why I am like this. My main food is meat, then veggie and sometimes I eat fruits. Should I change my diet to be more on veggies and the Protein? I am supposed to have between 1/2-3/4 cups of food per meal. I normally eat 1 cup since I have no restriction. I normally eat only protein and little veggies because that is what the nutritionist told me. What about you guys? If you have to eat 1 cup of food, do you normally eat only protein or half and half with veggies? What do you do to help you go? Thanks, Alisa
  3. Dear Veteran Bandsters, I am trying to add more calories to my daily meal since I have been stalling for about 3 weeks. I found out that I was eating too little about 700 calories per day and need to be between 1100 -1200 per day. Could you please check and sees if this is ok? Breakfast - 2 eggs and 3 slices of turkey bacons Snack - Light yogurt (100 cal) lunch - 12 thin slice of deli turkey (total 140 cal) Lettuce 2 slices of Low Fat cheese 1/4 cup of blueberries Snack - 1/4 cup of almonds dinner - 5 0z of Salmon and 3/4 cup of cauliflower When I write it down it seems alot to me since I normally eat like 3 meals a day with Protein first, then veggie and if I am still hungry then I eat some fruit. My doctor said to aim at 1/2 -3/4 cup per meal but if I do that I will not get the calories that I needed. Please give me some advice because I am only 2.5 months out and I am stalled already.     Can you please look at my menu?

    Thank you everyone for your advices. Restlessmonkey - my doctor office has a nutritionist but she disagree with me on the calories part. I am in a trial and error process now to see what works for me :-) These passed 2 days I have been increasing my calories in take including 2 Snacks and it paid off. This morning, I've lost 1.5 lbs. I am so glad to see the scales moving again. At my doctor office, they said no snack period either and to aim at 1/2 -3/4 cups of Protein each meal and no more than 50 grams of carb per day. If I eat like that it would be around 700 calories. I've added 2 snacks between meal mainly protein like low fat cheese, yogurt, boiled eggs or Protein shakes, around 950 calories per day. For now, I need to be creative and learn how to cook American and Mexican food :confused: Have a great day everyone. Alisa

    I am 189 same as the last 3 weeks :tongue_smilie: Don't know what to do. May be I have to up my exercise or I am not eating enough. How many calories do you guys eat in a day? Mine are around 700. I will have another fill next Thursday, hope it will help. Have a great weekend, Alisa
  7. Hi, I have a question about calories in take per day. I read the calories intake poll and went to check my intake. My doctor told me not to count calories and just to focus on 1/2 -3/4 cups 3 meals a day. well, at first I was losing weight slowly but it does comes down; however, these past 3 weeks, I am stuck at the same weight. I wrote down what I eat and well i was surprise becasue it was only between 600-700 which I think it is not enough for me. I've tried to write down what I eat today and I am still at 710 (including dinner). I am at lost of how to increase my calories to be around 1000 -1200 with out eating bad stuff. Can you guys show me what do you eat during the day? Thank you, Alisa

    Want to start running...need encouragement

    I am so glad I found this thread today. I have been thinking about running lately but like op I am scared of what others think. I have never run before (more like exercises) and I used to not be able to walk up the hill. My ankle hurts so bad from walking fast or steep hill. I am so afraid that while I am running, my ankles will burn again and I has to stopped and people will look at me. I have been walking twice a day since I had the banned but it is not enough for me now to lose the weight. I cannot go to the gym since I have 3 kids under 4 and no family around to watch them. I think I just might start to run in the subdivision when the kids are asleep. (husband watch them of course). Firs thing though, I need to get a good running shoe and a good sport bra. Any recommendation? Alisa

    TMI question - Constipation!

    soon2befit - I think you are doing good on that end :-) For me, it has been a week now and nothing. Other times it is like this too and I have to take laxative, which I don't want to depend on that forever. I just bought benefiber yesterday and will let you know if it helps me. Happy 4th of July!

    Guys, I have been dealing with gaining and losing these 3 lbs for a while until I found a link that someone posted about 5 days pouch test. I did it and it worked. This morning I weigh 189 lbs.   14. I saw your post about fast loser and I am so so happy for you. I just wonder if you can give me some point or like sample of what you eat in a day? I am about 2 months out but I am at lost of what to eat. I mean I tried to use fitday but most food that I eat is not on the list. My doctor said no more that 1/2 -3/4 cup per meal and such and said protein first, then veggies then fruit. I do exercise some by walking since I cannot join the gym (3 kids under 4). I would like to do aerobics at home if I could but they are so many dvd out there. Could you please email me at tcbgirl@gmail.com ?

    I've gained 0.4 lbs this week. I am beginning to not like my scale much :-( I got my 2nd fill last week too and it was good for a couple of days. The only difference is that I get stuck more often I guess from eating too fast and not chew enough but I can still eat a lot for a lap band person. I currently have 5.6 cc in my band.     Congrats everyone on your lose. I weighed this morning and I lost 1 lbs which I think due to being on liquid after the fill. I have to be on mushy tomorrow and then solid. I got 5.6 cc in my 10 cc band right now, so hopefully I will have some restriction. Have a great weekend everyone. Alisa
  17. Just got my 2nd fill today so I am going to post since now I know how much I have in my band. 1. WEIGHT-Before pre-op diet 231 lbs. The day of surgery 210 lbs. Current weight 193 lbs. Down 38 lbs total. 2. FILLS-10cc band. The doc put 2 cc with the surgery. 1st fill 2.6 cc. 2nd fill 1 cc. Total 5.6 cc. 3. RESTRICTION- Just got the second fill right about an hour ago. We'll see if it will help. I've been in Bandster Hell too since surgery, so the weight loss is all me, no band help (can you say starving most of the time). 4. RULES-Following most of them like Protein first and wait about an hour after to drink; however, I don't always chew properly or take small bites. I do eat carb sometimes too (not much). I need to weigh my food now since I just found out that I can stretch my pouch by overeating. 5. ANYTHING ELSE- I need to get more creative with my food and drink at least 64 oz. of Water. I need to exercise more too.

    As predicted, I have gained. On Friday I was 194.4 lbs. I weigh again this morning, still the same. I really don't know how to get the scale to move :-(

    Slow & steady, but I want it RIGHT NOW!

    I think you are doing good. You have lost 33 lbs already. May be right now you are losing inches instead of lbs. Have you had a fill yet? If so, do you have any restriction? I just got a fill last week; however, it was restricted for 3-4 days but now I feell as if I don't have a band again. Hang in there, we will reach the sweet spot soon :-)
  25. I will get my first fill today. After that I have to be on liquid for 2 days and mushy until I feel ok eating solid. My band date was April 21st. I have not lost any weight in 3 weeks, so I am worried that I may not eat the right food. I am going ask the doctor to talk to the dietitian too and hopefully she can help me out better than the last time :smile: If you don't mind could you please share with me what and how much you normally eat each day.
