Hello TK'
Am sorry but your boyfriedns sounds just like my "insecure" hubbie. At least you can thank God he's only a boyfriend. He sounds a lot like my husband when I actually started to make tanglible arrangements for the band. He asked why did I really need the band and I could loss the weight on my own if I really wanted to.
Maybe your BF is starting to be a little insecure with the fact of you becoming more at peace with the new body you will have.
I would not allow anything or any body to make you feel bad about making good choices for your health and happiness!
Stay focused and positve on your weight loss goals. Remember you can do all things with GOD in your corner!

Hey China,
See that you are in Texas also!! I just got Banded (Realize Band) 12/08/08. I have been using this site for info and support. It's really good to see that people are going through the same as me and to see the transformation of so many. It is very inspirational!! Who was your doctor? My Doctor was Dexter Turquest in Houston, TX.

I REMEMBER that feeling!!! I think that I started feeling hungry around the 4th or 5th day. Just try to do something else to get your mind off of it. I love to read so i would pick up a book and that help some. It's hard sometimes because we got our stomach banded not our hunger!! I will admit that I would stick my finger in some smooth peanut butter and lick it off. It wasn't much but it did help. I'm not suggesting to do it at all, just admitting what I did. I don't think that I want to eat sf jello, broth, or sf popscicles for a while!! : )
The clear liquids will pass soon, and the soft foods (mushies) will start soon. I was so nervous when I started soft foods. I thought that it may hurt my stomach.
Do you have any gas? Thank God that I do't have as much as I had in the beginning. I have already lost 15 lbs, so just that little progress helps me stay focused.
Take care, and remember that right now is all about the "healing" process, the weight will come off!!!

Okay Teri checking on you to see how you are doing? I understand the statement of.."I sure feel fat! LOL"!!!
I have found out that walking and GAS-X are both going to be close friends of mine. I am feeling much better, everyday gets better, and you discover new things about being "banded" everyday.
Hit me back with your progress.
