I will be banded in March and am a bit nervous Any words of wisdom would be helpful. My M.D. is Dr. Takata and I've only met him once briefly. If anyone has had him as a surgeon I would love to hear their feedback.

Thanks to Everyone else as well..I do get a little worried about that pain you get when you've had one bite too many or ate the wrong thing that gets stuck....very painful. But a little at a time and patience helps. :wink2:

Thank you Bernadette for your positive and encouraging words of wisdom. I am going to call my M.D. tomorrow and find out about getting another fill. Thank you and I'll keep you posted!

I'm a March Bandster and I have not been on here in quite a awhle and after reading some of the posts I think I should have been. I'm feeling good but have only had one fill and have only lost 25 pounds since the surgery. I can pretty much eat many different things, Its strange like chips are easy to digest but pasta a big no no. I have been complacent and I think I need to call my M.D. and find out if I need a fill. There really isn't alot of follow up with the M.D. on their part so I guess I better get more proactive myself. Thanks to everyone posting I find out alot more here than I ever have from the M.D.

:confused:I was thinking I was losing too slow but it looks as though I'm about average with everyone here. I was banded on March 4 and have lost around 28 pounds so far . Its been the same for a few weeks but at least it is going in the right direction. Lately though I've been having some discomfort around my port site. It started a few weeks ago after I took a spin class I felt as though I pulled something maybe working my abs a little too hard. I called the nurse practictioner and I have been taking it easier as they recommended but not it feels like the port is loose in that area. Like when I bend over or sit too straight it feels very uncomfortable. Anyone feel like this?:crying:

I started walking right away and felt great. I really think it helped with the gas pains. Since I really didn-t get any.Did anyone else get glue on their incisions instead of stiches?

Hi Just trying to figure out how to set up this ticker. I was banded on March 4 and I'm doing pretty good. Today was the first day I was able to eat a little more than usual. I was starving after a long day of shopping and ate too fast. I was ok but I could see where that would definetly be a problem especially when I get my first fill on March 23. Its a process and I will try my best to succeed.

First time on the site. I'm going to see the MD at the end of Dec to plan Surgery for Feb. After hearing Oprahs frustration on MOn it just makes me more positive that this is the right avenue for me because like her and many many others I'm smart I know what to do but the weight is a constant battle and I'm so tired of the fight.
