I was banded on December 19, 2008. I started the liquid diet 10 days prior. As of today I have dropped 35 pounds in like 3 weeks. That is so fast it is scaring me. I feel great other than a little tenderness at the port site incision. I have my follow up visit with my doctor today. I have been drinking my protein shakes and eating baby food. Has anyone else dropped weight this fast before? Thanks:smile2:

I am on day 2 of my pre-op diet. I feel like I am starving, but reading the posts from all of you have made me know that I can make it. I get my band Dec 19th, and my family is totally supportive. My husband and daughters are being amazingly sweet and coming up with great things (liquid) to eat. I was told I could have anything I could suck through a straw, and my daughters were the ones to say get some tomato soup, or strain the veggies out of the soup and eat the broth. I was concerned about the liquid diet for 2 weeks prior but I know it is all going to be worth it!:wink:
