Just what is the difference in the 2 bands?

Hello, I'm annieo, I am just getting to go for the lapband surgery. but i'm looking forward to the results. I had my first meeting this week and I felt like this might work for me. Is there any advice for someone who is where I am at just getting started? One other question is there really a difference in the 2 types of bands. What is the popular vote?
