Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris
mmm replied to susanlondon's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
Hi Sammy, the tightness decreased ever so slightly each day but I had to be ever so selective for at least a week, sticking to mainly mushy stuff, each day something or other came back up albeit only about a teaspoon full but I had plenty of notice and always made it to the loo. 3 days after my fill I went to France with girl friends, and I had to tell them I had a stomach upset, because I could'nt eat any quantity of anything, but as the week progressed things did get better. However I could'nt drink beer to save my life, and had to water down all wine (so they really thought I was ill) you might want to use this excuse when visiting the in-laws. Things have now settled down, I can eat almost everything, but only need smallish potions (child sized in restaurant). Funny thing is tho I can eat man sized bar of chocolate if I allowed myself to. -

Wow Gary your on your way to being a lean, keen, running machine, the op was really life changing for you, and its fab to know your taking full advantage of being really fit. The restriction I had is wearing off now so I must try really hard not to gain any weight this weekend when I go to the smallholders show at the Royal Welsh Showground at Builth Wells, (I'm steward) all accommodation and meals are provided free of charge so it'll be a temptation, I come home on Monday and fly back to France on Wednesday for more temptation. I'll just have to think how good it felt when I was loosing weight at the beginning of the month, and hope not to undo the good work. Naughty sisters, let me know how your fill went today, It'll be interesting to know how much you had put in. xxx -

Hi hunny, that exactly how it was with me but the hiccups started the first night as well. On day 3 I could eat some mushy stuff but only a teaspoon at a time but mostly lived off drinking choc and drinks, after about 7 days I could eat some things not most things tho. Its now over 2 weeks and I'm still quite selective in what I can eat (some days are tighter than others) but the weight is flying off, si its worth it, hang on in there PM me if you want a chat and I'll ring you. Love mmm -

Glad to see you back big sister, I have missed you, Hope you have a good fill. My last fill was quite wierd, I had hiccups for 3 days, but now its settled, and somedays I get some restriction but not all - its all very strange. I'm due to fly back out to france on week wed 20th for 1 week and then possibly try another fill when I get back but I dont think I'm far off now. Glad all turned out ok freckles, and hopefully your band will kick in soon. Welcome to all the new members this thread is such a support, keep tuned in. Where's my mate Gary gone ???? XXXMMMXXX -

I can only say what I felt comfortable with post op. I bathed my 3 mini dacschunds 4 days post op, but they are only small and lightweight, I would have needed at least 1 week for a spanial sized dog (12kg) and closed to 2 weeks for the labrador sized, only because of lifting tho. For small dogs I would book them in from 1 week post op and larger about 2 weeks post op. Hope this helps mmm -

Hi Sammy my first fill was 2.5 and my second was 2.5 making 5ml in total, but my last fill gave me terrible hiccups, which lasted 3/4 days, but the good thing was I lost 7 lb in those few days, so with hindsight they were a good thing. I'm due to go back to France on the 20th this month and will come home in time for my next fill on the 29th, but I now feel I'm starting to slowely shift the weight. My total weight loss has only been this yo yo 7 lbs since I started looking at surgery option. So I'm probably the lowest looser on here, but I dont really care as I know it will come off eventually, I just have to be patient, and have come to the conclusion that it might take 2 years for me to loose 4 stone, but it will happen. I'm not worried about the time scale, but I know I've made a life changing decision in having surgery and it will work. But I get really pleased for those who want and get faster weight loss, its so motivational, its fab being a part of this group. -

Hi everyone, just been catching up with last weeks post, I've just arrived home and have weighed. Last time I went to France I put on 7lb in a week, but this time I've stayed the same, so I'm quite pleased. Plus during the hiccup phase I actually lost 7lb in 4 days. So I'm back where I started. The last fill I had about 10 days ago, has made a difference, I can eat everything but only need small potions, (tea plate sized), so thats good too. So pleased your all keeping well, and will be intouch regularly untill I go back to France in 2 weeks. love mmmxxx -

Hiccups still here but not as much as yesterday, which felt as if I was doing internal aerobics, its only a couple an hour now, but I can now at least drink, it might be a slight overfill, cos I was pretty keen to get as much as he was willing to give me, but as its easing off a bit I'll take the risk and hopefuly as Gary said it will ease off after 1 week. It might stop me putting on weight as I did last time. I've taken the precaution and have an unfill needle packed should things get any worse when I'm in France, and as its a French band I'm sure someone will be able to help me. The only thing bothering me is that if this is an overfill, and I fly freckles said that flying increases the restriction, so will I be able to cope with the flight its 1hr 50mins. The other thing bothering me is if its not an overfill and only trapped wind, when I fly the wind/air will expand and what will happen then:crying: will I fart, burp or explode:drool: happy days, I'll let you know when I get back xxxmmmxxx -

Glad to see you girls back, you've been missed. HELP NEEDED can any of you post banded throw any light on my problem. I have had 2.5ml fill plus another 2.5 last fri taking me to 5ml. But since fri I've had hiccups, I've hardly been able to drink, cos I hiccup when ever I try and I've also tried mushies but have'nt been able to even put anything in my mouth, because again I hiccup, it even woke me up 4 times last night, also I cannot lie down on my right side without it hurting. Any suggestions, or similar experience please let me know. -

Well second fill done today, something feels a bit tighter, but only on liquids/mushies for next few days, but I've had another 2.5ml taking me to 5ml in total, so hopefully something should start to work now. Its official I'm exactly at my pre op weight its so disheartening, but I was warned it would take quite a time for me to get started. Gary, Chris deprez sends his regards, his first words to me were that you had been to see him and he thanked me for the referral. He said you were doing extremely well. So well done you Suefee I've send you my mobile no. on a PM ring whenever you want up until Monday I'll do what I can, after Monday I'll be back in France for 1 week, but I'm sure the others will help. Good luck. -

Fills cost £80 in some locations and £90 others, If its a combined practice it seem to be £80. Mine is with Chris Deprez who fills for both surgeons CDB and MF and he charges £80 in Newport. There are surgeries ar Newport Bristol, London, Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburugh, and Dublin If you are unable to contact Julie, who only arranges appointments for some of the venues and not all, you can e.mail: chris.deprez@ecfs.be. He's most approachable and can sort you out. -
